I bought the luxury vehicle because I was tired of WAITING ON FORD. AND.... I was quite satisfied to drive it since FORD was having SO MANY issues with delivering what they promised!
AND.... I am glad I am not your advisor either, especially with the mentality that a vehicle (depreciate) is...
Maybe??? Possibly??? but my family is truly cursed by "Murphy's Law"! If it could or can happen it will happen! NOT the headache I wanted. I have enough of my own.
I completely get this. That's why I was wanting a fair trade. But I am ok with driving what I have. With the short notice, with Christmas and all the other life events, I didn't want the hassle of trying to sell it. Plus dealer wanting it done ASAP. Would have been a much different story if...
yes this is easy information to look up. And yes I would have made the deal. But to me a car is just a car. It is no different than buying a Dishwasher. Are you going to give Lowes $500.00's more for a dishwasher just because Covid hit and they are very few out there? Even though you know...
Not sure I understand what you are saying?
If you buy a new vehicle priced at $50,000.00 and they give you $30,000.00 for your trade in then you only pay the taxes on $20,000.00 at whatever you parish take rate is. Versus: New vehicle price $50,000.00 no trade-in and paying taxes on the...
I do know the trade-in value of the vehicle, hence why I DIDN'T take their offer. I am okay with driving what I have for the next 20 years. AGAIN... Just share that "I" thought the dealer was taking advantage because they could (don't make it right)
Thank you, Bronco is nice, I liked it. They are cool to look at. But like you said there will be plenty on the road in 2 years and I wasn't in a bind. I will keep my nice little ride until then and my extra cash! Merry Christmas!
What you say is all true and I am well aware of all this. However, my point still is I just wanted a fair deal. I don't treat my clients that way and I try to be fair to everyone. I just think this is the way Good Business "Should work" Or at aleast how I try to treat.
I felt it was...
I rather invest my money and keep it. It is just a vehicle to me. I am not married to it like a lot of people are (not trying to insinuate you are). It is to each its own. :) Merry Christmas!
I did get emails in 2021. No, I haven't since then. According to the original salesperson, it would all go through the dealer. They would notify me. And up to July or Aug of 2022 they did.
Not too many 8% out there in Louisiana!

FORD was the one that made a debacle of the whole ordering, reordering, waiting, waiting, waiting, over-selling, and lack of communication, it was a cluster all the way around. And.... I agree the dealership was greedy. But again, it is just a vehicle. I have one to drive. I am just...
I was having problems with my 2003 model car, I needed a reliable vehicle. I had been checking with my dealer (salesperson) almost monthly since Oct of 2021 when I had to re-order because the year model was changing. I call and spoke to my sales person in June of 2022 (again after checking...
Never got a notice, and in my state, you can tack on an extra 9-10% on the total sale's price, if you don't have a trade in. Can be the difference in thousands of $$.
"Giving away $3500.00" hurts my soul, not my pocketbook". I wouldn't have even considered buying a Bronco if $3,500 would have broken me. However, it is more the principle, We are a small town I just expect business to be fair. I just wanted a reasonable offer, I believe in this case they...
Not sure where you are from but if you do not trade your car in then you are charged sales taxes on the full selling price of the vehicle. If you trade your car in then you only have to pay sales taxes on the difference. This could add up to thousands of dollars. It would not have helped me...
