I think 33s are the perfect size for the 2door. I will probably wait until I mostly run through the stock tires to upgrade. What setup are you going with?
I get it, small sample size. But it wasnāt just 90mi@55, it ranged from 0-80mph with stops and starts, passing, etc. A microcosm of my normal driving.
First couple weeks with my 2door BD Bronco 2.7 (non-Squatch) have been great! Unfortunately, I havenāt gotten it off-road much yet due to having to work the last couple weekends, so I figured Iād test out some on-road things in the meantime.
Decided to track my commute to work and back today...
Roundtrip to work and back (80 miles going 70 +/- 5mph) I got 21.3 mpg according to the computer. 2 door, 2.7, Black Diamond (4.46 rear axle ratio) with roof rack. Used ECO mode but it doesnāt make much of a difference when youāre not accelerating.
If I take it off soon I will let you know. I immediately took the front roof panels out for my drive home so I can't say anything much about road noise yet
My rotation number was 3745, so we were very close.
Hope you hear something soon! Is your tracker on "Built"? I had no idea mine was at the dealer until they called me, tracker updates came a few days late.
That will be coming soon! I had a straight drive home on the highway, all I can say is that Sport felt great, itās zippy when you want it to be! I was going pretty easy on, it but the 50-to-70 mph rampup was nice and quick. And Eco was getting me 22ish mpg going 70mph.
Agreed, thatās why I ordered it! High package wouldāve been a nice option on BD but I assume it wasnāt offered because it would cannibalize some Badlands ($$) orders.
I absolutely was planning on adding 33s. When I saw it in person, it looked better than expected on the 32s. Iāll probably replace them with 285/70s when these wear down.
