I remember when Bronco was first announced and I saw steelies on Black Diamond I scoffed at them and thought they were ugly and a cost-saving measure. I don't know what changed but over time I've absolutely fallen in love with how those black ones look
@BronchoPeat This might be a lot to ask, but I've been dying to know for months: is it possible by some miracle to fit the doors in the back if you fold down the rear seats?
Can anyone tell me - I may have missed this in the existing measurements posts - if it would be possible to fit the doors inside a 2-door when you fold the rear seats? It's bugging me so much because the ability to take the doors off on the trail or wherever is a massive appeal. Maybe if you...
It really really annoys me that the Black Diamond doesn't come with HD front axle. For an off-road trim people will want to put bigger tires but ford says the stock 32''s are the biggest you should put on it. That is honestly the main reason why I've decided to go Base + Sas and then possibly...
Hybrid is what I'm eager to see too. On the Ranger6G forum it has been all but confirmed that the new Ranger is coming in the PHEV form and given how close the two platforms are I wouldn't be surprised if Bronco followed. If you could operate in all electric around town and get about 20 on the...
A quick youtube search shows quite a few examples of people carrying dirt bikes on their Wranglers this way and the rear tire doesn't seem to be an issue. But yeah I'd like to hear from those with experience
How much weight do you suppose a Bronco can carry on a hitch like that or an aftermarket one? I'm hoping to get a motorcycle carrier rack (carrying bikes occasionally is the only reason I'm still slightly considering a pickup with a bed). For my uses it'd typically be bikes weighing around...
I think it only looks like a hardtop rear end in this particular image. If you look at the side angle (the link you posted) it has a top portion of the roof "overhang" the plastic window rear for sealing and so you can slide out those windows when you want to put the top in the fully retracted...
Or maybe even fully hardtop BUT aftermarket creates a two-piece 2nd row panel and some type of support rod that goes across at the midpoint between 1st and 2nd row panels (to support both) when the roof is on but can be collapsed and stowed away
Yeah, I always thought those flip-back ones didn't look very aerodynamic. I was thinking something that might even be completely removable. Basically a canvas stretched over a collapsible frame you could fully snap (or bolt) on or off in a couple minutes.
I've been thinking that it's a real shame you can't fit the second row single large roof panel on board. You either have to 1) take it off at home and hope for good weather 2) only take off the front row panels 3) go with soft top during warmer months.
How feasible would it be to have a hardtop...
