So: I replaced the clip with a clip from the OEM grille. Worked great - no more gap (sorry, a tiny gap that matches the other side). And it's solid, no "give" when the grille is pushed. It's a good unit.

Hey @Turn Offroad - I'm interested in sound reduction: both ambient sound and the irritating air leakage noises around seals, especially at speeds > 40mph. Are their plans to test this (OEM top vs your top) and post decibel metrics?
