I’ll do mine the day of or day after off-roading . Not sure if you had this issue, but I’ve noticed a few chips in the paint between the door and body from closing the door on crap that works its way in between when it gets muddy.

I can’t say for certain on the metal of the two listed parts, but, metal is not just metal. I wouldn’t cheap out on something like this, the lives of yourself and the others around you are at stake.

Not sure it it’s just mine, but, the seal on the rear window always catches the top of the rear door when opening and closing.
