In Canada, day 2 reservation. Dealer had a $1k deposit since committed order. Defender arrives next week, I just simply couldn't wait in the dark anymore.
Dealer straight up said they aren't going to cancel my order and has take a similar stance to others that have cancelled.
Even more...
Considering the Truck version is nearly identical in price, the Bronco Raptor seems like poor value...
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of the Bronco Raptor, but the value prop seems a tad weak for the money. Add the ADM, further makes it a hard pill to swallow...not too mention how...
I'm with you...I think that's the case. This dealer has apparently only received 3 Broncos...I'm number 7 on their list. So maybe another year? Lol
A dealer in Langley has already gotten 14. Similar size...makes no sense
I'm not sure what to think here....
I received notification from Ford both my reservations were cancelled and my money returned. My dealer says my order was successfully submitted, is clean, and waiting to be scheduled.
I had a day 1 and day 7 reso. First one that got cancelled was my day 1...
I really don't want to get "stuck" with a soft top. Truthly, it'll be an eternity before one will be able to buy one at the parts counter and it will cost a small fortune. It'll just be another cue to line up for lol. Better bet may be trying to find one at a wrecker...
Ya I think the biggest constraint will be MIC.
I have a Defender coming Feb 11th. I'm going to drive it around until my Bronco comes. I'm told I'll make an easy 10k reselling, since there is a slow trickle. And eivr been told even the first batch of Defenders in 22 won't have LCD gauge clusters...
Think it would make a difference if I switched to a fully loaded Outerbanks vs. Badlands? I know the detachable swear bar isn't a commodity restraint...but who knows...
MIC, 2.7, no tow package.
Like most of you, I've been waiting for a year+ now...I wonder if it will come this year...
It's pretty wild, really. I've been surprised how hard it is to give a company 65k and repeat business.
And whatever happened to the painted tops, when is that ever becoming a thing? Lol.
The story goes like this:
Placed first reso on day 2. Second redo 3 days later, after I thought I had made a mistake. Converted in Jan of this year.
Found out recently my dealer converted the wrong reso, the later one, and my earlier one was cancelled. Told nothing anyone could do. Sure ok...
4X4 = 4WD drive. Power to all 4 wheels......
The Defender has been claimed by many sources to have the most advanced 4X4 (AWD) system on the market. Not what that means off road comes down the terrain. It's obviously not a rock crawler.
:/
All this talk about capability is comical. 90% of Bronco customers will likely only utilize a fraction of the vehicle's capabilities. People buy Broncos and Jeeps for the same reason they buy Gopros - they imagine and want to buy into this novel life style - top off - rugged - off roader, blabl...
Good choice. I ditched my Bronco order for a Defender XS. Far more refinement, more than enough capability - and I don't have to worry about my roof leaking or needing to be replaced x times. And before anyone says anything about reliability - Ford has an equally terrible track record.
