The 6G looks exactly like a Jeep from behind. I’ve just gotten to the point where I can tell them apart when I’m following one from a distance. Any other angle (even the slightest peek of the side) removes all doubt. Neither look anything like a 2020+ Defender from any angle. .
Hate it. Same narrow body with ultra-wide posture. Cheesy FORD letters across the grill. Amber lights that make it look like a road construction vehicle. Maybe would appeal if I lived in Moab but since I don't. Hard pass.
I didn’t tap but I let my order ride with a Mod Top and ordered a Defender X instead. Basically it’s been the same kind of sh#tshow over there (vehicle built and on ship then not built but cancelled, rescheduled, taillight recall, etc.). I just decided that the Bronco is more of a fun summer car...
You will have to place a new order since AMB will no longer be available in 22. Most likely, until you do, you will be a priority code 99 when the order banks open up in September until you update/resubmit your order since your current order will be non-buildable. Hopefully, once you do change...
Code 99 does not indicate that an order was not placed. No code at all indicates an order not placed. 99 just means that the order is not buildable. And, code 10 is an extremely high priority. Higher than allowed for a non-volume customer. Either you have some serious pull at your dealership...
I stepped back from my OBX Lux, etc order which was going to be my daily driver and took another look at what I was doing. Bought a Defender X but decided to keep my reservation and will likely reconfigure my order to get a MY23 base two door manual. I definitely don’t want a MY21 and I...
TFL had the exact same situation with their first Defender (although the engine didn’t fully seize). Their dealership offered to replace the engine, provide a refund or offer a replacement vehicle. They declined the engine replacement on similar grounds and instead accepted a replacement...
Honestly, you should ask for a replacement vehicle. The last thing you want is a brand new car that has had the engine replaced by the dealership. That’s asking for trouble and it’s not what I would consider resolution.
Sorry, didn't know a master thread existed and it wasn't really designed to be about my order, which incidentally hasn't been cancelled. But, feel free to have the Mods stick it wherever it makes you feel good.
I know it’s been known that these weren’t going to exists for a long time. My point was simply to say that the feature set has become more narrow by the day (i.e commodity restraints, Mod tops, etc.). To your point regarding the timestamp elitist, I’m not sure if Ford created this or if they...
Thanks for the input. I’m considering it. Really, I think the Bronco as we know it will be completely evolved by 2023 and I’ll be open to a new iteration. This was going to replace my truck. Now, I’ve decided to keep my truck. and replace my sedan as an alternative.
My bigger problem right now...
We all made reservations and the white top is really what I’m talking about. But seriously, look at the replies, memes and shit. I just tried to start a simple discussion about Ford and their business process, simply because I actually appreciate the discussion around what many of us have been...
So, after I received the 6/25 email, I decided to move on to another vehicle. And, as someone who has been engaged in this forum for several months now, I feel compelled to share the things that eventually drove me away. Hopefully, this won’t come off as a rant although I suspect it might...
That’s what I just did. Was built just a few days ago and put on the ship for a July 30th delivery. It’s a dealer stock ordered Defender X. It’s pricy but I have to applaud the Europeans for actually being able to deliver what they sell.
I will tell you how it works. There is NO equivalent. Any update (I.e. felt liner in the cup holder, Sync 6, new headliner, full leather instead of leather trimmed marine vinyl, etc, etc., etc.) is NOT equivalent. Same car, different model name? NOT equivalent. Fancy green paint job? Not...
I put down a $1K non-refundable deposit. My dealer hasn’t been reaching out to me either but I told him to let my order ride with the Modular Dual Top option knowing that would push me out.
Since, then, I’ve not received any communication. But, the way I see it, the Bronco rep has over 100...
It’s Bronco, so it has to be Ford. That being said, if International released an updated Scout or Toyota release a proper FJ, I’d probably consider those as well. I’m not a Ford guy at all but I can appreciate the fact that the Bronco is and should always be a Ford.
