Basically, it is a lot of dough whoever you choose. All things being equal, personally I would choose the ones that are proven. 74Weld will back theirs up for life if you can break them. No one has yet.
74Weld is race proven on Ultra 4's, Jeeps and the Bronco. The Broncos that have won KOH were running 74Welds and have never broken. They are $20K. Gears are straight cut. That is "supposed" to make them louder but I haven't heard that from people that actually have them, just from BroncBuster...
If you aren't lifting by suspension more than a few inches, there is no real need for upper or lower arms in the rear. The main need for upgrading those is adjustability that stock doesn't have to re-center the wheel in the arch and adjust caster. If you are going portals for lift, I don't see a...
Well, I don't have any pics but I will try and take some. I built a rig that goes in my hitch of my bronco to winch up a deer and dress it. I have bagged 2 on my lease this year. I am out on the lease a couple times a month to refill feeders, to maintenance on the stands, drink whiskey and shoot...
I love your taste in Broncos, as you can tell by my pic. 2dr, Badsquatch with Lux. Had mine since Nov 2021 and still love it. Sucks for the passengers but that isn't my problem. Lol.
I am glad Ford is stepping up and getting you a new top.
The bushing and housing end for the Stage 1 for HOSS 2.0 from 74Weld is $1000. Both sides get oil impregnated bushing. Then you need Tie Rods or Braces. I think Tie Rods are better than braces. The Ford Performance Tie Rods are $320. So for $1320, install on your own and get an alignment and you...
74Weld and BroncBuster both have parts to replace one side of the steering rack and put a bushing on the other. That is FAR cheaper than replacing the whole rack. I think the 74Weld option is both better and cheaper, but that is my opinion. Other than that I would either replace the Tie Rods or...
I used 4 Wheel Parts to install mine. They also fixed the sliders for a friend of mine. There was a faulty open/close switch on his. 4WheelParts has experience in these sliders (they sell them) and have locations around the country.
Braces are way better than nothing. Just make sure you have a plan for when/if you get stuck or broke down. That is true no matter how "built" your rig is. Building your perfect rig is a long game unless you have loads of money. It will take me 2 more years to get my done. Be safe and have fun!
One last thing. You will get the stock Rock Sliders on yours but I highly recommend getting something stronger that also gives your doors some extra protection from rocks being kicked up by your tires. Frame mounted is stronger than body mounted but there are some fairly strong once that body...
Other than trans armor, your steering rack and tie rods are your weakest parts if you want to get into some harder stuff on the rocks. You WILL break yours "in the hard stuff". You have a cheaper or more expensive route.
With the cheaper route you have two companies to choose from: BroncBuster...
Like others have stated, that answer varies from person to person. For me, I love places like Ouray, CO. They aren't the hardest trails. I don't need 50k in upgrades to run them. I can (and have) run most of the trails there with my mostly stock Bronco and my previous FJ Cruiser. My only...
Very interesting. New hinges and the plate ties onto the tire carrier. Looks like there are two more holes available. Accessories? Sure could use a hi-lift carrier.
Funny, I just heard about Wolf Caves for the first time yesterday when I met a Jeep guy at a doc's office in TX. He has a crawler. He got me curious. I have a 2dr Badlands Squatch and I don't think I stand a chance on much in that place. I replaced the tie rods but not the steering box, yet. I...
