  1. ARB Compressor Stealth Install Fun @ Storage Tray Under Rear Floor

It should have come with two harnesses. One with the heavy power wires for the compressors/relays and the other for the switches. The harness for the switches can be discarded. The output from the Bronco's AUX switch can be hooked directly to the relay wire. Then you just need to connect the...
  2. ARB Compressor Stealth Install Fun @ Storage Tray Under Rear Floor

Good so far, but I've only had a chance to use it twice. Once for a 3 day camping/off-roading trip and the other time to fill up the tires on the horse trailer. Now that the weather has turned, I should get a chance once a week to use it. I'll post details if I need to make any mods.
  3. ARB Compressor Stealth Install Fun @ Storage Tray Under Rear Floor

The relays, waterproof connectors and pressure switch all came with the ARB wiring harness for the dual compressor. It even came with waterproof fuse holders, but I wanted a little bit of an upgrade, so I reached out Crutchfield for a dual 40A fuse kit. As for brackets, the fuse holder was...
  4. ARB Compressor Stealth Install Fun @ Storage Tray Under Rear Floor

I held on to the fan that came with the dual kit, but I didn't install it. With some more mods to the storage tray, I could make it work, but I didn't want such a large exposed hole to the undercarriage. In a few more weeks, I should have some warmer weather to do some temperature testing. My...
  5. ARB Compressor Stealth Install Fun @ Storage Tray Under Rear Floor

The pressure switch came with the dual compressor. I think the cutout PSI was 140. I didn't install an air tank, but I probably have room for a smallish one under the vehicle (under the rear seat). When I turn the compressor on, it takes about 5 seconds to pressurize the two small manifolds...
  6. ARB Compressor Stealth Install Fun @ Storage Tray Under Rear Floor

I just used an old 2 gauge battery cable and bent the connector down. I think I had to find an M10 bolt since Ford didn't include them for the two unused terminals.
  7. Mobile Ham Radio Install - Yaesu FTM-300

It was a little tricky, but the wipers stayed on. The coax feeding the mount had enough stiffness that I could use it like a coat hanger to push the mount up through the freshly drilled hole.
  8. ARB Compressor Stealth Install Fun @ Storage Tray Under Rear Floor

Grab a cup of coffe for this one. This project has gone on for the past six weeks with a couple weather delays and engineering hurdles that required some thought. Overall, I'm satisfied with the outcome. I still need to do some extended run temperature tests in the compressor tray...
  9. Mobile Ham Radio Install - Yaesu FTM-300

I cheated :-) I had already done the trailer electric brake controller installation and it steps you through digging into the center console. Do a search on the the Ford/Lumen/RedArc trailer electric brake install. I just used a 7 ft RJ-12 patch cord from Amazon to extend it.
  10. Mobile Ham Radio Install - Yaesu FTM-300

This was the part I used for antenna mount, but it looks like it's backordered now. I'm sure Amazon has something similar. Comet Antennas 3D4M GigaParts.com I just drilled a hole to mirror the AM/FM mount and the rest was pretty straightforward.
  11. Mobile Ham Radio Install - Yaesu FTM-300

That was the hardest part. I'm pretty sure there must be an easier way, but I didn't want to start pulling apart the dash without a quality shop manual.
  12. Chesapeake Bronco Club

When I got mine early Nov, I think I was only their fifth delivery. I don't know what their allocation is. Shipping time for me was only five days. Communication really depends on the sales rep. My first one was Sean, not great. I had him replaced in June with Hassan, much better. No...
  13. Chesapeake Bronco Club

I got mine from Apple Ford early November. No markups, just straight MSRP ... no negotiation. Overall experience was pretty good.
  14. Mobile Ham Radio Install - Yaesu FTM-300

Close. I should have put one more photo in there. The plastic knee trim below the steering wheel flips down to expose the fuse box on the left side (facing the driver). I put the Yaesu bracket on the back side of the fuse box. It faces the firewall with lots of extra space. I thought about...
  15. Mobile Ham Radio Install - Yaesu FTM-300

This is my first how-to post so go easy on me. I've played with ham radio and gmrs for years with handheld and base units (yes, I'm licensed for both). I decided it was time to get a real mobile unit with 50 watts. The Yaesu FTM-300D met all my needs, and then some. Looking at the Bronco...
  16. Chesapeake Bronco Club

Hey. I'm in Columbia. I'm with Apple Ford. Initial communication was non-existent, but went in to switch sales reps and now I get decent updates. They are telling me 11/1 build date, but I haven't gotten the official notice from Ford yet. I'll be watching this group closely over the coming...
  17. Wild Broncos surround and dwarf a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon! (4-Door Broncos vs 4-Door Wrangler Rubicon)

Bigger doesn't always mean better. At least that's what I keep telling the wife. ;)
