FWIW, I had full XPEL PPF installed on my daughter's SUV. She was recently in a minor fender bender requiring the rear bumper to be replaced. The full cost of replacing that section of PPF was covered by the other driver's insurance without any haggling or debate.
Got word yesterday that I only have one reservation and order.
My original timestamp was transferred to a better dealership and applied to the Badlands I wanted, and the stolen FE reservation was cancelled. It just took a few days to update in my Ford account.
Mike Levine and his team at Ford...
That would be the right time to leverage local media. Since the ultimate beneficiary is a charity, the negative publicity would be overwhelming. They would be very wise to sell it at invoice or similar.
They can realize theyāre in checkmate the easy way or the hard way.
Makes sense and good point about Mecum since not a first off the line.
As you can probably relate....In my experience, the more Iāve given and performed selfless acts and favors (big and small), the more benefit that has come back to me in one way or another.
Itās not instant payback, or a...
Just emailed Ford to find out if I still have claim to the vehicle. If I do, thinking I donate it to a major charity serving special needs kids, for them to auction off.
Iāve seen Mecum raise huge amounts when proceeds are going to charity. Maybe that would be an option.
Iām thinking I donate the whole vehicle, so charity can auction it and hopefully raise more than itās actual value since itās for a good cause, or sell it and donate all proceeds, not just profits.
Yeah, I figure theyāre going to get their commission on it either way. At least this way I can prevent whatever their plan is.
Maybe auction it off and give all proceeds to a charity? What do you guys think?
Donāt trust the dealer!!!!!
In my case (see thread on Haldeman Ford) they took my early, low number FE reservation, gave it to someone else, then stuck me with a late high number 2022 reservation number. Fortunately Ford sorted it out.
So I got finalized with another dealer (see below) but I think technically and legally I still have claim to the First Edition at haldeman as well.
It still shows up as my reservation in MyFord (in addition to my Badlands) and my $1000 deposit is still there securing it in my name.
If Haldeman...
Tied up outside with a contractor at my house, but wanted to give a quick update...
1. Thank you all. This forum saved me from getting screwed.
2. A senior Ford rep called me at lunchtime. Following my communication w/ Mike Levine last night, their team in Detroit spent the late-night and...
Sounds so familiar....
The sales manager Paul flat out admitted to both lying and stealing my reservation, but acted like it was no big deal since iād still get my car one day
I was absolutely stunned, So i said ā let me get this straightā and repeated what he said to me without the sales BS...
Sincerely hope it works out for you. Iām still waiting to hear back from Mike.
He emailed me and said he was āon itā late last night, but I know heās busy, so getting concerned since it looks like theres only a few hours left to correct this.
Do they care about facebook/twitter/google reviews?
I dont have social media, but if I did, would definitely give them a 0 star review...

Problem is, customer service is unable to transfer me to a different dealer while Haldeman has this other dudeās car locked into my reservation number.
hoping Mike Levine at F corporate can resolve
