  1. 2-Door BASE Bronco @ MAP

The only turbo manual I ever drove was a 1989 Ford Probe my dad had. Fun to drive.
  2. 2-Door BASE Bronco @ MAP

I’m also pumped that I ordered a manual. I got tired of my last manual (Wrangler) around town and swore I wouldn’t get another, but I have enjoyed the manual option in my 4Runner hybrid automatic. My 1976 and 1987 Broncos were automatics, and were fine, but I’m excited to have more control over...
  3. 2-Door BASE Bronco @ MAP

I wasn’t saying “look what this motor can do” as some hot-fodder excitement. I was saying look it can do more than the holy V8s of yore that people claim are requisite for a “real” Bronco. The fact that you may not use the power as often isn’t the point.
  4. Ford's communication around this is unbelievably bad

Yes, all true. Then there are those of us with worse problems for whom the return of the Bronco is a beacon of hope and a passionate deal. Yes, I realize we are privileged if getting a new car is an obtainable salve for our maladies. I would just like to get the damn thing before my kids are...
  5. 11/17 Reservation and already scheduled to build 6/21/21??

I could maybe understand someone who wants a Bronco not making a reservation until the second day, since I’m sure many, especially those not cruising social media the night of the reveal, who didn’t know about it that night. I was just lucky enough to see it and make a res within three hours...
  6. 2-Door BASE Bronco @ MAP

I saw AMB in person at 5:00 p.m. last week on an F-250. It is stunning, trust me.
  7. 11/17 Reservation and already scheduled to build 6/21/21??

I don’t know how someone with a November res would even be built for MY22, let alone among the first builds for MY21. Sounds more like a MY23 or go buy a Geo Tracker, because you don’t really want a Bronco bad.
  8. 11/17 Reservation and already scheduled to build 6/21/21??

We were WELL into COVID when Ford revealed the Bronco and took reservations. They could have scaled back the launch, based on the pandemic, to half the trim/model levels, before offering so many models. They didn’t. They could have taken fewer reservations. They didn’t. They knew the challenges...
  9. From Ford Bronco Team: Priority builds scheduled first, followed by First Editions

Most people don’t read every corporate mass email unless they are Bronco nuts. She had an early red and placed her order in early March. She didn’t think she had to do anything else. Which is reasonable.
  10. From Ford Bronco Team: Priority builds scheduled first, followed by First Editions

She has tried to get the dealer to answer questions previously with no luck. Me too.
  11. 2-Door BASE Bronco @ MAP

Looks sad? Not unless a real Bronco is sad.
  12. From Ford Bronco Team: Priority builds scheduled first, followed by First Editions

I have a friend in town with an early timestamp and order placed through the same dealer. She’s not on forums or in the loop, and since the dealer doesn’t communicate, she didn’t know the painted top for her OBX will delay her build/order. I talked to her today and told her she could have...
  13. Ford's communication around this is unbelievably bad

The fact they HAVEN’T told me my build date while telling later reservation holders THEIR build date is the topic. If the latter are in the first batch, and I’m not, that violates the concept of reservations and timestamps. I would point you to a few resources to learn more: 1. A clock. 2. A...
  14. Ford's communication around this is unbelievably bad

Yes, imagine that. People who have early time stamps were excited for the process to begin but upon learning there is in fact no process at all we are mad. It’s just our “true colors.” What is wrong with us?
  15. Side Question: Hail Just Destroyed Our Car

Adjuster said disputes/questions must be made to the third-party damage review company. When I call their number, it is just muzak with no menu at all, on hold indefinitely.
  16. Side Question: Hail Just Destroyed Our Car

The inspector didn’t even call me before looking at the car, which is currently in my mother-in-law’s house six hours away, to ask me questions. I’ve never heard from them. Mom-in-law sent me a text after he left saying he looked at the car.
  17. Side Question: Hail Just Destroyed Our Car

Update: the third part damage review company the insurance co uses found it repairable for $9k. The report goes through every section of the exterior but says NOTHING about the interior or the electronics at all. It was rained in all night. The only interior comment is the interior is “tan.”...
  18. 7/14 reservation 11:00 AM 3/19 order

On behalf of the total Base 2-door contingent I’d like mine as soon as I can get it while loaded Cadillac Broncos being outfitted with movie screens, microwave ovens, suede seats, and chiffon get pushed back for those bragging about their patience.
  19. 11/17 Reservation and already scheduled to build 6/21/21??

“We had no idea we’d have this large a minority of 2-door orders or as much demand for the manual.” - clods at desks in Detroit
