Long term update from me is that I'm very happy/satisfied with these shocks. They've performed extremely well in all environments. Most of the time I'm on paved roads where they provide a great rider but I also did the multi-day White Rim trail in Canyonlands Nation Park last Spring which is...
I haven't measured that specifically but with these designed/tuned by Ford Performance specifically for non-SAS Broncos and there was no trackbar requirement I feel pretty safe saying yes.
I have a Bronco Capable Bumper takeoff that I'm looking to rid my garage of. I was originally hoping to replace my base bumper but the switch was too involved (cutting the recovery hooks) than I wanted to do. Looking to sell for $100. Let me know if you're interested.
Like angled from the ground looking up? I've been very happy with the decision - we did White Rim trail in April and they performed really well in that terrain. Also very happy with the lift they provided.
Here's a separate thread on the Ford Peformance tuned suspension kit: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/ford-performance-2-lift-kit-coilovers-for-non-sas-bronco-installed-impressions-review-photos.61234/page-5
The Ford Performance tuner/calibration does allow for tire size changes. It also gives you the increased torque/HP calibration. I've found it to be very much worth the cost if you're interested.
The Ford Performance website only requires an ASE certified technician to do the install for the warranty to be valid - I didn't have mine installed at a dealership, I went to an overlanding shop that as you mention should have more experience handling these types of installs.
@Jazer when you say to the fender do you mean the bottom of the fender flare? Or to where the Vehicle body starts? I'm at 25" from the center of the wheel hub to the bottom of the fender (or fender flare if that's the term for the entire metal portion of the fender).
As a somewhat noob to the world of 4x4 and who's not really trying to push the limit too far I really liked the idea of these Ford Performance tuned Bilsteins specifically made for a non-SAS Bronco. I'm sure there are some better combos out there but these seem like a great combination, even if...
Retail cost is $2,100, I used some Ford Points to bring that cost down. Install was like $500. I haven't actually adjusted alignment yet (or headlights) but it felt just fine out of the garage but that I think will run me another $100-200?
I posted a summary as a new post per a request by the Admin. Here's the link: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/ford-performance-2-lift-kit-coilovers-for-non-sas-broncos-installed-impressions-review-photos.61234/
After 9+ mos of waiting on Ford, I finally was able to purchase and install the new Ford Performance Shocks for non-SAS Broncos. The shocks are marketed as "...uniquely tuned and tested by Ford Performance Engineering to optimize ride and performance both Off- and On-Road" as well as...
