Got it!
Opted to take the driverās seat out so as to assume the under-the-dash positionā¦ā¦glad Iām supple. Still was pretty fiddly but got it done.
Thanks again 1098!
After pulling a wire via the firewall grommet I must have knocked the pictured switch loose. I cannot read part number, and cannot figure where it was attached. Apparently not the clutch lockout switch (wonāt start with clutch engaged). Wiring too short to work w brake. ā21 manual BadLands. Thanks
Kind of unfortunate timingā¦leaving FL tomorrow ahead of Idalia then leaving Thursday for a month in Maine.
Be happy to arrange pickup as soon as I get back.
DM me so we have a conversation that Iām more likely to remember.
Shhh!ā¦ā¦ā¦.donāt tell anyone about Maine!
Was lucky enough to be introduced to this great place in the 1970ss as a graduate student, with recurring trips since.
Any one asks?ā¦.itās full of mosquitoes, black flies, bears, and standoffish residents! š
Replaced w Gobi rack, never used. $250 - why so cheap?: couple bolts missing. (anyone with a modicum of mechanical knowhow can replace at Loweās, BoltDepot.com, etc.)
Pickup only Saltville, VA.
Found a rock under the under-windshield cowl.
ā¦..and hereās a PSA: removal of the wiper arm hubs requires a two armed puller tool, they are really on there for keeps.
Another variation on the theme to consider: Iāve totally removed the rear seats (bottoms and backs), thus left with a flat platform - except for four protruding studs which would stick into the mattresses, likely quickly ruining them. Any thoughts?
Perhaps a dealer service technician can review service manual and chime in.
I suspect removing the plastic cowl at rear of engine bay and the cowl under the windshield would get me there but thought Iād ask here first.
