  1. 2.3L 7MT — lurching/stuttering in low gears between 2-3k RPM

I’ve experienced the same thing. Talked to some people about it and they guessed it was a quirk of having a direct injection engine when in lower torquey gears. Someone also suggested it may be an issue with the parking break disengagement.
  2. 7speed manual for off-road/crawling

You won’t wear the clutch because you won’t use the clutch. The low range on this thing is pretty crazy. In 4L and crawler, you can dump the clutch with no gas and start crawling along like it’s nothing. Once you’re in gear, forget that the clutch exists and everything will go smoothly...
  3. Which "street friendly" Bronco looks the best?

2 door manual base with 4.46 gears with handle the best and be the quickest on road. Don’t know how to judge looks for any of these; all about personal preference.
  4. Base 2dr 7speed vs used Gx470 off-road.

I’ve been wheeling my base a good bit around central Virginia; nothing crazy but a lot of jeep trails and mud. I have black diamond tire/wheel take offs, the upgraded bumper, oem rock rails, and some extra armor for the transfer case (upgraded bumper gives me front skids and the 2 door comes...
  5. Base Model Bronco Thread

Put black diamond takeoffs on my base. Got the tpms off tire rack for them, and they worked well (tire rack automatically pulls them up for the bronco). For people looking to upgrade their tires on the base, I would strongly recommend this route. Finding C load tires for 16 inch wheels is a bit...
  6. Base Model added Badlands Wheels and Tires

Any worries about wheel/tire weight and height on the base axels?
  7. Virginia WTB Black Diamond wheels and tires

Located in Charlottesville, VA. Willing to drive a few hours to pick up. Looking for new/lightly used takeoffs of the black steelies + grabbers.
  8. đź›  3/14/22 Build Week Group

For what it's worth, I also just moved to "in production". No window sticker yet.
  9. MSRP

My understanding was that the $500 deposit is typical. Dealers get dinged on their allocation if too many Broncos are sold to individuals who are weren’t the original reservation/order holder. They want customers to have some skin in the game to help ensure that they actually show up to buy...
  10. Realistically, when will you be able to walk into a dealer and buy msrp?

I've seen some selling on ebay at near MSRP prices for what it's worth.
  11. Did you finance or pay cash?

0.99% is higher than the risk free rate looking at short term treasuries. Can't find an HYSA with a interest rate higher than 0.6% right now on the full FDIC insurance limit. Paying in cash seems reasonable from that perspective.
  12. 2-Door Base non-Squatch on 35" NITTO's & ICON Rebound Pros

Any issues running those on the weaker front axle? I’d want bigger tires on my base eventually, but am worried about the axle/FDU struggling with anything larger than 32 when off-road.
  13. Base Model Bronco Thread

    265/75r16 I think, roughly 75% sure.
  14. 2 Door Bronco Loses Big

The 4 door broncos look like they’re about to break in half to me. Don’t see the appeal.
  15. Chances of 2 door base showing up in dealer stock?

It would take other commodities outside of the MIC top becoming the primary constraint. Maybe, by some miracle, Webasto starts producing in large numbers and the 2.7L engine becomes a very substantial constraint. That feels like a super unlikely scenario though. Also, if Ford is to be believed...
  16. Is My Dealer Bad Or Is This Normal?

I had to put $500 down to convert, but I received the initial $100 deposit back in the process. At my dealer, they put in writing that the $500 deposit goes toward my purchase when I take delivery; that if I do not take delivery and the vehicle is delivered as a MY21, the deposit is...
  17. 2nd choice paint option

I would love to see a tan similar to the Tacoma color down the line. Any more pastel color choices to give the vehicle a more classic look would be excellent too.
  18. 5/28 Bronco Production Update E-mail & Dealer Insight FAQ 📬

Honestly, would happily take a wheel-less bronco at this point. May even consider a topless bronco.
  19. Line jumpers

According to my dealer, the answer is yes to some extent. No idea if he knows anymore than us. My best guess is that, if they have capicity to build more frames which are mostly identical between vehicles, and if they don't have parts for a badlands/wildtrack, any high/lux package vehicle, or...
