Back to the dealership model. :P
The old model of pressured sales, variable price, getting passed around from the sales guy, sales manager, financing guy, etc, to the process taking hours, is just dying out.
People, most at least, do their research, and try to nail down as much as they can...
My guess is they won't be worth much. Had the FE had something that could only be found in that version like a Coyote motor, sure, but not in a mass produced vehicle.
If it's like past systems I have had, you can adjust the volume of different processes during the process. This can be difficult on like messages that are but a second or so long, but essentially if your on a call or receiving a text, while that sound is coming through the system, adjust the...
I can tell you in my Jeep the top creaks and rattles a bit, especially after having just been reinstalled.
Typically I drive for a couple days to allow it to resettle into place, then back the bolts out half a turn and then retighten them and it takes care of most of the creaks. You may even...
I wonder how many of those reservations are people who were looking for opportunity to profit on limited model availability, and had no interest in actually owning one.
I actually find that if I'm backing out of a parking space, the rear camera of my Jeep has a much larger view than I do between 2 parked vehicles. I still tend to glance out the side windows, and my side mirrors, but I don't turn all the way around anymore, thanks to the camera.
Tops have much different requirements than say lights or bumpers. The stresses, the ability to remove and reinstall repeatedly, the stress forces of body contortion, seals, etc.
It's a lot more involved than matching up mounting points.
No reputable company is going to put something like that...
It was a prefect storm of events that lead to all the delays, new model, covid, chip shortages. I don't think you can truly hold Ford responsible for the situation. Yes communication could have been better, but at the same time, even they didn't know the "when", so what are they going to say...
I'd be interested, I seldom take the roof off the Jeep due to Heat, humidity or rain here in South Florida.
Some people assume I live in Florida so I would have the top off all the time, and maybe I would if worked outdoors or in a shop or warehouse, but I work in an office and showing up to...
I believe the cars MPG is only calculated based on fuel injected into the cylinders, and does not account for vapor loss, expansion contraction, etc.
And I read an article a while back that the average MPG calculated is based on 1000 or 1500 miles depending on the maker, not per tank. Which...
My 2006 Mustang GT had windows that auto-up/down to clear the frame when opening. Never really had an issue with it getting caught up. But after a battery change they did act up. But deep in the owners manual you will find (at least on my Mustang), that if you roll the windows all the way up and...
I get the Dealers first thing.
It's not like they are filling lot's with Broncos, just getting a demo drive vehicle. It's how they keep the build logs full, once the pre-orders are done.
51 and undecided.... Leaning towards 2dr, but the cargo space of the 4dr is handy. Been paying close attention to what I haul in my 4dr Jeep to see if it really merits needing the 4dr.
My Jeep has this feature, and I noticed if the A/C is on Auto, the ESS does not engage while the cabin is being cooled, and will restart quickly if the cabin gets warm. If it's not on auto, then it ignores the climate control system, when deciding to engage the ESS.
But what I still don't like...
