I noticed the last few times that Iāve driven mine with Max A/C on that the idle was rough, too! I told my husband to take the Bronco to work yesterday to see if he could replicate and he said he noticed it when he was stopped at a light. I donāt know if itās worth noting that Iāve only noticed...
Same! Iāve never had a vehicle with ASS (I feel really weird writing thisā¦lol), and Iām programmed to hit the button every time I drive (my husband hasnāt been programmed to do this yet š).
This is $100 well spent! Thanks!
If it flies, it spies!!! Lol. My kids got a kick out of it.

Just as an FYIā¦I was interviewed by a reporter on WDIV Channel 4 in Detroit about my Bronco. It was a short segment but at least news are covering the investigation. I wore my āBirds Arenāt Real Shirt,ā too. Gotta represent.
Sorry I struck a nerve in you, I was legitimately curious if you had read a direct communication from Ford regarding the supplier issue. And no, I didnāt do a personal tear down but my tech ran a scope and documented the findings on Reddit.
I think you might be confusing ārecallā and...
Youāve read an official communication from Ford stating that the failed valves are from substandard parts from a supplier?? Not trying to be snarky, but Iāve been obsessed with researching this issue since it happened to me in September 2021. I havenāt come across any official notification from...
I started the process at the beginning of November, and completed the process beginning of December. I chose cash and keep, as I already had my Bronco back with a new 2.7L.
I went through the RAV process for my Badlands that technically met the Lemon law guidelines (out of service for more than 50 days) in Michigan.
The RAV rep that was assigned to me outlined the options available:
1. Repurchase: Vehicle is bought back, you get your down payment/monthly payments...
Well aināt that some crap?! Ughh. Iām sorry youāre going through all this B.S. Are you able to switch to a different dealer or is it a strict process through RAV where you need to go through the dealer you purchased original vehicle?
I didnāt think that the GM of a dealership has any sway when it comes to a buyback offer through Ford. Did you go through the Ford RAV process? I just got an email today that my repurchase/replacement has been approved on my Bronco (which I picked up last Friday after being in service for 50...
Yep, sorry. I realized that when I compared the 6006 to 6007. Where am I gonna find this serial # without climbing in?! I'm 100% sure this is the serial number that the tech used to decode production date to the 125th day of 2021, though.
I picked up my Bronco last night. I spent quite a bit of time talking to the tech that put the new 2.7 in. The new 2.7 engine has a serial number that corresponds to the 125th day of 2021 (May 5, 2021), the old engine had a production date 160th day of 2021 (June 9, 2021).
He had mentioned that...
Dealer told me it was a dropped valve, but was told by Ford not to tear down the engine. I asked this morning if they had heard from Ford yet, as they told me that they shipped the engine back a few weeks ago. Service Advisor told me that Ford hasn't picked up the engine yet.....
Anyway, I asked...
Thanks for your response! That sucks that your dealer has washed their hands of your Bronco. I just got the call this morning from the dealer that my Bronco has been "fixed," but there is a part they are still waiting on (it's a trim piece on the A pillar that was warped). I can pick it up...
