That's a false dichotomy. I can choose not to take part in the dealings while still criticizing dealerships for engaging in shitty anti-consumer practices.
I'm a huge fan of Ford and their vehicles, and I have my money where my mouth is, but one of their biggest hurdles in a market that's...
I switched from Bronco to a Rivian R1S LE order late last year, so...mission accomplished? I'd still like get a Bronco Raptor in a couple years if/when the inevitable dealer price gouging eases up; we'll see how that goes.
BTW used car dealers serve a functional purpose by facilitating resale...
I mean, everyone that it negatively effects should care. This is America. We don't need to tolerate shitty business practices by middleman dealers that only exist because they're protected from legitimate competition by outdated legislation in most states. Fuck dealerships.
Can y'all believe they're not offering exterior color matched washout interiors??? The total lack of coordination is going to make me puke every time I get in the vehicle. Guess I'm not getting a Bronco.
He's been on the forum for a while, saying the same thing long before the race started. It's true and I don't think it's shit talking at all - for whatever reason, Ford chose to build an R that never really had a chance.
After seeing the Warthog test mules, I wouldn't be surprised if their suspension geometry and frame modifications are similar to Bronco R. Less travel and less kit at each corner for sure, but close enough that they're logging relevant data on suspension and frame loading.
You could look at it that way. Winning would have required lengthening the front control arms and mounting them closer to centerline to get more travel, which isn't possible with the generally production intent frame architecture, engine configuration, and suspension geometry.
Make those...
Scrupulous maybe wasn't the best choice of words here - intended to convey buyers that don't mind using their wealth to get what they want, when they want it, at the expense of other consumers that might have a stronger use case for the product but lack the means or willingness to complete for it.
Good points - for me the ethics issue is that reservation systems are generally implemented to allow "fair access" to all consumers during product rollouts that might otherwise be dominated by wealthy individuals willing and able to pay high premiums for early access.
In this case deliveries are...
Capitalism is most effective and beneficial when profit motives are secondary to ethical considerations. A reasonable product/service for a reasonable price is the gold standard in any transaction, and willfully inserting yourself into the process without providing either is just grifting.
IMO...
No one's really answering your question so let me help - you're gonna want to get a 2 door base manual, 2.3l engine, skip sasquatch and all the functional upgrades but add ALL the aftermarket accessories like fridge, paint protection, wheel lock kit, all of it. Doesn't matter which color as...
I've never used a kill switch so I could be wrong, but I imagine they're wired one of two ways
1) power from the switch prevents starting the vehicle, which requires continuous power to work
or
2) power from the switch is an interlock for starting the vehicle, which needs power to turn the...
1/2 look to be 18, 3/4 is probably 20 (didn't measure with a caliper so I could be a bit off). Main takeaway is 1/2 are thicker than 3/4 and 5/6 are super thin.
Also, for others that were asking, power to aux circuits is cut when ignition is off.
Some general advice for anyone new to Ford's...
One would hope, but unless they do something new for Bronco each switch is going to be run with the minimum gauge possible for chassis wiring based on that above amp ratings. On my truck Aux 5/6 are like 22-24 gauge.
