In trying to research why mine might be squeaking, I found this thread. Good to know it's not just me! Dropped mine off at the dealer on Tuesday, and today is day four of them still trying to locate and isolate the issue. Looks like they'll have it over the weekend, too. Ugh.

I've had it happen a couple times after that. 8k miles on it now. It's going in to the dealer soon, because I've got the hard top whistle, and the windows that won't close right every time. Hopefully they can get a code this time.

I'll just drive it for you the next year. It will be full of gas when you get home, whatever the price per gallon might be. (That may be a gamble worth it alone!)
