  1. SEMA Broncos

Rough sneak preview. Ford booth Broncos start about 8:12
  2. Does the universal garage door opener function when the vehicle is off?

The homelink in my 17 Mustang visor works even when the the car is off. If you want homelink and an auto dimming mirror without getting the Mid package, you can pick one up cheap and install it yourself. https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-ec-mirror-alt~999l1-ut000.html Mirror mounts...
  3. 2.3L Oil Analysis

The oil separator is there to prevent anything from being sucked into the lower pressure lines. You should be good.
  4. 2.3L Oil Analysis

The UPR catch can that I put in was $250. The UPR is a dual valve can while all the cheaper ones that I looked at were single valve. In a single valve can, it connects to your crankcase and the intake, just like the stock vent line. This means that when the intake is under boost, the...
  5. 2.3L Oil Analysis

My oil from the last change is not the latest, it's ILSAC GF-5 and is also SN Plus. I do run a catch can. It doesn't collect much, but when I look at the crud in the bottom, I'm glad I had it.
  6. 2.3L Oil Analysis

I thought I would share the oil analysis from my 2.3L Mustang. This is my first turbo engine and, like some of you, I was concerned about how well the oil was going to hold up. I also wanted to determine a good oil change interval. Normally I like to change my oil and filter at about 7500...
  7. Catch Can in Michigan Winters?

After 14 hours at -4 degrees F, the sample is still liquid. So I wouldn't worry about the catch can freezing unless you are worried about your oil freezing. Evidently, the stuff in the can isn't a combination of oil and water. My new theory is that is probably just the shorter hydrocarbons...
  8. Catch Can in Michigan Winters?

I haven't seen any rise in the oil level on my car. I've sent an oil sample off to be analysed, so I'll know for sure if there is any fuel in the oil. A quick update, the oil from the catch can has been in the freezer for 3 hours and is still liquid. I'll leave it overnight just to be sure.
  9. Catch Can in Michigan Winters?

I live in southwest Ohio, so a little milder than Michigan. I've a had a catch can on my 2.3L Mustang for two years and never noticed any issues in the winter. I just emptied my catch can after about 9500 miles and I got 1.5 oz by weight. So it is an empty every oil change, rather than daily...
  10. Sneaky B&P stuff...

The advanced 4x4 comes with all Sasquatch packages, it's built in to the $4995. The advanced 4x4 appeares to be a no cost option - build an OB and add it. The cost increase is only $795 which is the price of the required 4.27 locking diff.
  11. Sneaky B&P stuff...

It shows the price of $4995 for the Sasquatch, but still shows as $5790 total options. When you build a base or BB and add the Sasquatch package, it adds the auto transmission for $795 instead of $1595. If you add Sasquatch to the BD it adds the full $1595 for the auto transmission...
  12. What color is this - Classic Bronco?

It looks like the silver blue of our '66 Mustang. A great color and it was available on trucks. https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?type=sample&ditzler=13045&syear=1966&smanuf=Ford&smodel=Mustang&sname=Silver%20Blue&name=1966_00131_01
  13. Wife humor.

Not always, sometime you just have to show you care. I took my wife to the Ford lot after hours and showed her a Grabber Blue Mustang Convertible I was looking at. She did not approve. So I bought her a new kitchen floor. I've had my convertible for three years now, she has warmed up to the...
  14. Enhanced Voice recognition - Is this an extra mic for the Sync 4 system to hear you better?

I've been wondering about this myself. I'm concerned that this feature means that the car is listening to your conversations 100% of the time waiting for a key word like "alexa" or "hey google". I don't want this. From the Ford press release: By taking advantage of state-of-the-art...
  15. Radio antenna

It will need a separate antenna. I wonder where it will go. On my mustang the satellite antenna is in the middle of the trunk and the whip is on the side of the trunk.
  16. Base Model Bronco Thread

There are Jeep options available. Prices range from $2500 to $4500. I imagine the aftermarket will support Bronco too.
  17. Introducing the Bronco Four-Door Outer Banks Fishing Guide (Accessories) Concept

Those pop out windows will make it easy to install a window storage area. I'm liking it.
  18. 2.3 Ecoboost impression from test driving Ranger

I recommend the catch can. I'm very happy with the UPR dual valve I have in my mustang. About 1 oz or less of oil every 5000 miles that doesn't end up on my valves.
  19. Mid-Day 2021 Bronco and Bronco Sport Teasers

I've owned my Mustang for 3 years and never knew it had a plastic fuel door. How annoying.
