I'm all in at 5k delivered to my door with tax... title... antique plates and a years worth of insurance.
Will be short of 10K done the way I want it. I just couldn't bring myself to spend 50K on a first year vehicle. I'll wait it out and buy used somewhere down the road.
Zero chance that would ever be installed in any of my vehicles...
Less of a chance (if that's even possible) that I would spend any money on a Chinese website titled... BangGood. Their name alone tells you how this scenario is going to end.
I didn't even order a 6th gen Bronco. I was waiting to see what came along in the following years. I was always keeping an eye open for either a 1st gen (which I doubted I would find in my price range) or a Bronco II. This one popped up a couple weeks ago and I made the deal and it's on a truck...
That has been on my radar too...
When they revealed the Bronco R... 2 door styling on a 4 door chassis. I thought that we might just be getting that. The extra cargo room and just the right amount of doors.
I would seriously like a damn tailgate too... just saying.
Was always my plan to wait and see if it happens.
Not sure why there is so much hate from members that are opposed to the idea. I mean... if you don't want one... don't buy one. It's pretty simple actually...
I wish more people here would just understand that sometimes if you don't have good...
Lesson learned the hard way @Bulletbill
I worked at GM back then... even worked on the Hummer programs so I remember that case. I just hadn't heard of it coming back around.
Full disclosure... I don't even have a reservation for a Bronco. It has always been my plan to see how this plays out for the first couple years and see any variation that may come to market. It doesn't mean I haven't spent hours in the build and price tool crunching numbers. I always came back...
Thanks...
As with much of what we build for ourselves... this too is seeing some "evolution". The biggest issue is when it's swung open the weight of it twists and flexes the bumper itself and the mounting brackets. You see a jack stand under the end... I actually built an adjustable leg to...
I actually built a swing out tire carrier on my Ranger. It sits in the garage 90 percent of the time because is just sucks to have it on a daily driver/part time work truck. It only goes on when I'm headed out camping/hunting/long road trips.
I'm actually going to add a roof top basket... but...
