I can’t imagine cross-shopping a crosstrek with a Sasquatch, but I came from a GTI which makes even less sense. I guess they’re all available with manuals, but I’ve always heard that the crosstrek powerband kills the drivers soul.
The base is easily the best value, but I wanted a 4dr manual with signature lights and rear locker. I didn’t want heavy body armor, monster truck tires or any of electronic nanny features. BB wins for me.
“OBX Hate” isn’t elitist, it’s just “bigger is better” bro culture marketing. I love seeing broncos that were appropriately spec’ed out for their owners. They look great in person. Even if I lived in Moab or Sedona, I really doubt I’d go scrape my new ride on the rocks. Off-roadeo is cool, but...
Big Bend, Signature LEDs, 7MT. Lighter weight, more fun to drive, can still do just about anything off road. Sasquatch is completely unnecessary for the overwhelming majority of owners. I’m glad it exists, but cmon.
My 2018 GTI was so easy to row that the salesman who rode with me on my first drive with my bronco questioned my abilities. I got used to it pretty quickly and love it. Getting to know a new manual transmission is one of the most rewarding aspects of owning a new vehicle.
I have the PNPKit 11-4, so I didn’t have to splice into speaker wires. I screwed the hs10 into the rear cargo area firing up but I put the cargo mat over it to hide it. Not the prettiest solution, but I can just throw stuff on top of it now and it won’t attract thieves as much since I rarely...
I made almost the exact same decisions. Four Infinity Reference 4”s. 300hz filters on fronts, none on the rears. Kept the OEM 6.5s. KK200.4 with pnpkit 11-4, but I went with the kicker 46hs10 hideaway. At times you can tell the 10” is in a ridiculously small enclosure, but ultimately the sound...
There’s no question the base has the most value, but I feel pretty good about getting a 4 door manual cactus (color wasn’t available on base for MY21) with signature lights and a rear locker for $38k. I actually like the BB wheels too. I appreciate the functionality of steelies, but to most...
I kept the OEM 6.5’s and they had some decent mid bass with the kk200.4. If yours don’t have any bass at all, make sure you don’t have the BI-AMP switch turned on.
