  1. Topless

I don’t want to blow it out of proportion we haven’t had any issues with it as far as function. Just a build up of white around the bolts that looks like corrosion. It’s hard to tell if the case actually lost any metal. But it is happening on 3 or 4 f150s we have.
  2. Topless

I agree with you. I was just curious what he meant by Ford being #1. I hope that Fords quality on the Bronco is good. The only thing that worries me is that the transfer cases on our F150s at work look like they are corroding from the salt they put on the roads. Spraying them with fluid film...
  3. Topless

Are you taking truck sales in reference to calling Ford #1?
  4. Newly Spied: 2021 Bronco in Rugged Trim!

Those didn’t seem too negative to me. Seems like toyhoarder was responding to people’s assumptions that were very optimistic. I hope that it does great and I’m looking forward to the release but until then none of us know how it will stack up against other vehicles.
  5. Toyota 4Runner '20-21?

If the redone 4runner has the same engine that is currently in the tacoma the the bronco should kill it in every way. Except for maybe perceived reliability. I had a 2016 Tacoma and it was annoying to drive with the 3.5 v6. The engine wanted to rev for power but the auto tranny wanted to stay...
  6. Spy Video, Underbody / Suspension and Interior Closeups of 2021 Bronco Prototype!

I prefer unicorns to jackalopes. Straight front horn (SFH) is better than independent front antlers (IFA).
  7. Spy Video, Underbody / Suspension and Interior Closeups of 2021 Bronco Prototype!

Overland or general off road #solidfrontaxle is what I hoped for. I wasn’t looking for a Wrangler clone. I wanted something that does what the Wrangler does just better. And no, I’m not a hardcore rock crawler. SFA isn’t just for rocks. He says it best in this video starting at about...
  8. Spy Video, Underbody / Suspension and Interior Closeups of 2021 Bronco Prototype!

I’m with you on what the FJ actually was vs what they marketed it as. I wasn’t a fan of the looks but It was their version of a modern day FJ 40. I don’t feel that the removable top made the 40 series any more than I think a removable top made the original Bronco. I don’t care either way...
  9. Spy Video, Underbody / Suspension and Interior Closeups of 2021 Bronco Prototype!

Used FJ prices are simple supply and demand. The didn't sell well when new so there aren't many of them out there. The FJ Cruiser was a modern interpretation of the old 40 series: better ride, better towing, more creature comforts, more cargo space. They obviously missed the mark otherwise it...
  10. Spy Video, Underbody / Suspension and Interior Closeups of 2021 Bronco Prototype!

Yeah looks like shocks are at. 45 with coils over them.
  11. First (Actual) 2021 Bronco U725 Prototype SPIED!!

Don’t know if it’s just the angle but I can’t see any springs.
  12. 2020 Ford Bronco May Get A 7-Speed Manual Transmission

I like the low first. I hope the reverse in the Bronco is lower, similar to what the jeep has.
  13. First (Actual) 2021 Bronco U725 Prototype SPIED!!

Could be the case but I hope not. I'm interested in a 2 door since its only going to be a secondary vehicle. If it was going to be a primary I'd have to get a 4 door.
  14. First (Actual) 2021 Bronco U725 Prototype SPIED!!

No doubt the 4 door will sell better. It will be interesting to see a few years down the road how many smaller cuvs/suvs Ford sells. Will their share increase by the same amount of the Bronco family sales or will it be a small increase do to cannibalization?
  15. Bigger than the Explorer?

What does the explorer lack that you want? Yeah stock for stock an IFS Raptor has more ground clearance but if you put Raptor sized tires on the JL with a SFA the JL wins with more clearance. And you wouldn’t even have to touch the suspension to do it. Do you think the Bronco IFS will be...
  16. Bigger than the Explorer?

Ground Clearance: Explorer - 7.9" Ranger - 8.9" F-150 Raptor - 11.5" JL Wrangler Sport - 9.7" JL Wrangler Rubicon - 10.8" If the JL Rubicon came with 35" tires (which would fit stock) it would probably be around 11.8"...
  17. Bigger than the Explorer?

Do you mean lack of ground clearance when you say the undercarriage isn't meant for deep snow or sand? How do you figure that an IFS Bronco would do much different than an IFS Explorer in those situations?
  18. Jeep and Chevrolet's Reaction to New Ford Bronco

I think the problem is that it is not an easy process to try and figure out what a fair price is. All I want when I walk into a dealer to buy a vehicle is that vehicle at a price where the dealer makes some money and I don't pay a lot more than the next person that buys the same vehicle. In...
