2021 OBX with 35.5k miles just put in for service for warning codes.
Failure mode was detected was corrosion within wire harness in rear bumper.
Wondering if this is going to be a long term issue. 18 months, with 2 winters and very minor snow this year.
Anyone else with this diagnosis?
I know your post is a year old, but I had exact same issue here in Boston. Bronco is 18 months old with 35k miles.
Dealer just fixed issue and sat it was not sensors but wire corrosion!!!
Canāt believe this happened until I looked at how and where these connections are placed. Can honestly say...
The main reason for posting these is NOT to complain about the scratch or damage we know will at some point could happen in use. The goal is to help IAG and maybe others in seeing real life sample size of users for their design.
Just my opinion.
Suggestion maybe to modify the instructions/video to say "ensure the two holes in the brackets are aligned prior to installing screw in top bracket( on both sides). I also think if you sit in the back of the Bronco you can easily see the holes aren't aligned and this is the cause for the screw...
I know it might be mire expensive in manufacturing costs, but maybe have that bolt free of threads for first
Thanks, I didn't catch it on the video as passenger side went in no problem.
I agree we should all blame Jim.
Wanted to say Thanks to both you and original poster for the info. I to live in New England and have had multiple cars with indexing windows.
But, this weekend I have experienced a similar issue with my 2021 OBX. Passenger front and rear door windows will no longer index when door closes...
Installed yesterday and was a great add.
Just a couple notes for feedback incase anyone else sees the same:THESE ARE NOT COMPLAINTS!
1. Do see Window kink in cold New England
2. My Bronco had a minor alignment issue with the two upper frame rails which caused a little issue starting threads...
