I’ve been waiting for a Production date for 9 months. Went ahead and ordered a Maverick and an Explorer ST while I wait. Already have the Maverick. ST went into production on 1/10.
I originally ordered a base 2 door Sasquatch package with the 2.7t. After waiting something like 5 months I decided to switch the engine to the 2.3 and manual. Since it’s starting to look like it may be a year+ before I see it, I decided to go back to the 2.7 and auto. But when I emailed my...
I’ve been seeing quite a few. Surprisingly most have been the darker red. Went to the ford dealer to get an appraisal on my maverick. They had an Area 51 big bend on the showroom floor. I wasn’t really impressed. But it didn’t have the Sasquatch package. So it was kinda lame.
I got my Maverick from Bill Fick in TX.
they offer free delivery. But that would require someone else driving my car 1100 miles to deliver it. I asked them what they spend to have someone drive it to me. They applied that amount to have it trailered to Florida. I ended up paying 750 to have it...
I’ve fantasized about how I would tackle this for a while. The other part of this project would be to paint match the outside of the top. Then PPF the entire thing.
The canned adhesive (3M) works well. You just have to let it set up before you apply. Then reactive with a hair dryer or heat gun.
My plan for this is similar. I’m going to use dynamat first, then spray bed liner over top of the dynamat to seal it in. Should add less weight and be a little...
I ordered a 2dr BaseSquatch with 2.7. Think I’m gonna switch it to 2.3 and manual. See if that helps me get it any sooner. I don’t need 2.7 if a tuned 2.3 will be able push around my base.
I plan on draining my oil, and putting that much back in it. Then checking my level. What is the dipstick showing up on these vehicles when they are first delivered? If it really is a dipstick vs oil capacity situation, these cars should be getting delivered with excess oil showing on the...
I’m seriously considering a set of these seats for my base Sasquatch. But I know I may have issues with insurance if I remove seats that have airbags, and replace them with seats that don’t. But I REALLY want to swap out the stock seats for these...
The softness of the tires they put on the Sasquatch package makes me eager to put something else on there right away. Been doing a lot of research on what to replace them with. So far I think I’m stuck on these. Excellent wet traction for Florida roads. And they should last much longer...
I think some of us are just assuming that we got a 2.0. More than likely FORD let a bunch of 1.0 MIC Broncos ship after an “inspection” of them. Thinking they would get away with a little bullshitting.
As a base 2.7 Sasquatch 2 door, the Sasquatch and auto trans combo is the only way to get the A4 AWD feature which is a must.
BaseSquatch
2.7
2 door
Modular bumper
Aux switches
41k from my dealer
Hoping this is the case. But I’d be a little hesitant to start pushing these engines right away. With what we have seen from blown engines and failures. But I’m always down for a quality tune.
I would try to mount it in the back. You should be able to mount the compressor and possibly battery (I’d suggest something smaller) in that rear cargo area. I would like to mount a retractable hose reel in there too. All mounted under the floor in the rear.
