Good points on the welding, but it is not easy to measure twice and cut once in my book. The bolt holes only took about 30 minutes to step drill and then used a grinding wheel to finish up the notch. As far as my typical projects go, this one went pretty smooth. I do wish I had a laser cutter...
I didn't change anything about the bumper. I just removed the recovery point and bolted on my custom receiver hitch. I would think a winch, light bars, etc. would cause more issues than my addition.
4”x8” plate metal with holes cut out to match the tow hook. Then I welded a receiver hitch to it. Replaced the tow hook with the new receiver hitch. Had to use 3 washers at each bolt as shims since the plate is thinner than the old tow hitch.

Does anybody have the dimensions of the front tow hooks? specifically the plate width and height which mounts to the frame. I am trying to create a plate to install in the tow hook location with a receiver hitch for a front mounted deer feeder.
I just haven't taken mine apart yet to measure.
