Getting out is "extra" wear? I've now begun lifting my ass off the seat first but sort of "standing" on my left leg, but now I hit my head on the roll cage getting out.
I'm only at about 20k miles but a few months ago I noticed a small tear in the vinyl on the side of the driver's street, where I get in and out. Similar to tearing in the cloth driver's seat on my previous 4Runner. The tear recently has grown slightly longer (pictured).
Any suggestions for a...
Finally got it back, two days ago, almost seven months since the accident. Have not noticed any issues so far. I can't describe the joy I felt upon pulling out of the shop lot and driving back to the office.
I grinned the whole way and felt EXACTLY like Gator when he got out of prison and first...
Sadly, I won't go that route. Not going to wait months again for any vehicle. I'd probably get a Gladiator. That's if I'm even able. If the Bronco isn't totaled out and is just repaired, as they are doing, its value will be so diminished (wrecked with airbags deployed), I won't be able to even...
A tree limb fell on the hood of mine on the third day I owned it. Put several dings/dents on the hood. I filed an insurance claim but never ended up taking it to the shop, because I didn't want to have to wait to drive it again.
July 20: Close to six months in, still in the body shop while I see posts online of people who ordered a Bronco after my wreck and have received them. I could have done the same if the insurer had declared mine a total loss.
Sure, part of the delay is the delay in parts coming, as is the rule...
Update: Five months later, still in the shop. Every time they have estimated it would be ready in a week or two, they suddenly realize they need additional parts they had not already ordered.
New price when I got the Bronco was about $40,000. Initial estimate to repair was about $19,000, so it...
Safeco initially IMMEDIATELY tentatively predicted it to be a total loss which means they instantly decided the types of damaged items would cost more than $40k to fix or either couldn't be fixed safely. And then the shop which had never worked in one before says nah nah we can fix it for $17k...
Shop told me two Fridays ago they finally received the last part (the second frame extender) and would begin work Monday, May 29 and would take about two weeks. Finally a finish line of roughly the end of this week. Today, I called to check in, and they said it looks like a three-week repair...
Wrecked mine 11 weeks ago. Been at body shop about 10 weeks. They were still waiting on the last part as of late last week, before they start repair. My rental coverage under insurance maxed out weeks ago.
May be ready a week or week and a half from now, they said last week, if they were able...
Who is paying the wild prices for any car? My local Ford dealer has had some used Jeeps for sale for MONTHS that no one has bought. They aren't even crazy markups like new Broncos I'm reading about here, just too much for their mileage/age. You'd think after months of nobody buying them, they'd...
Aaaaand, it continues to be a comedy. See latest wrinkle below in blue.
Early last week, after finally learning my original adjuster had left the company, I found my new adjuster and finally got him to reply to me on a few questions, including how much I had left before I maxed out the $1,500...
