  1. 🛠 01/24/22 Build Week Group

I was 1-24 build week group as well. About last fall I got tired of waiting, (I am not at all patient), and bought the Toyota pictured. I had previously ordered a 4 door Badlands. I changed my order to something I thought my wife might tolerate, and honestly, kind of forgot about it. Last Friday...
  2. Honest question

Certainly I empathize with all of everyone's concerns. Ford communication seems poorly executed, and while I see excuses for the delays, I see no excuse for their communication approach. I can point out, as a business owner, another mistake that Ford made that goes in our favor. Ford prices...
  3. Getting Despondent

Homebuilder, " You can move in next month if I throw a tarp over your roof. I'm out of shingles."
  4. Maverick can out tow Bronco?

And one version of the Hyundai Santa Cruz can out-tow a Maverick. Now if I can just get the Santa Cruz with the Sasquatch package.........
  5. 5/28 Bronco Production Update E-mail & Dealer Insight FAQ 📬

Kind of a nothing-burger. BadLands on the list is an additional bummer. Still no date for, well anything. On the issue of delivering with the wiring but no hardtop. Perhaps an additional constraint are the electronics for the hardtop. We know chip and electronics scarcity are a problem...
  6. May 27 Email Group!

Got Goose eggs on an email. You know at this point I would be happy, but a little disappointed, if Ford said, "You will get your Bronco about March of 22. We will keep you updated monthly". At least I would know something. The truth is that Ford will sell every Bronco they make, and do so for...
  7. Electric Bronco EV Teased in Announcement of New Ford EV Platforms

E-Bronco.....that's pretty heavy man. The Lightning's battery is 1,800 lbs. so more than a few subcompact cars. My BL, whenever I see it, is suppose do be over 5K lbs and that heft kind of bothers me already. Not sure if a 3 ton plus off-road tool makes sense, no matter how much torque it makes.
  8. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

More math fun. You, (in the future), at a stoplight in your 2.3 Badlands 4 door at 17.2 lbs per horsepower. Adjacent lane holds a rental basic Toyota Camry at 16.5 lbs per horsepower. Light changes.
  9. 2.3 vs 2.7 compromise

Or maybe.... Lets say you drive conservatively with the 2.3, but really want the extra power of the 2.7 so you always use premium with the V6. Gas in California is 4.15 for regular and 4.46 for premium. Light-footing a 2.3 for 100K miles on regular will be $23,056. Drive it like you stole it...
  10. Reservation Timeline

My guess is July 22. Depends on so many variables that this might be meaningless to predict with even month type accuracy. However, you already know it won't be this year. Additionally, we can assume Ford will make as many as they can next year. So, going for the meat of the distribution, I...
  11. Official MPG figures: 2021 Bronco 2.3L and 2.7L fuel economy

Imagine if you will...... Ford Planning meeting. Planning executive while wringing hands, "We have approximately 4 times the number of buyers for a 21 than can possibly be served. What do we do? " "Hey" says one guy, "We can leak a rumor about Heritage editions and some will hold off till 22 and...
  12. 2021 Ford Bronco Full Tech Specs

Specs are pretty helpful. and illuminating. Weight stands out to me the most. A Bronco of 50 years ago weighed under 3500 lbs. Now you constantly hear that this is about all the safety features, and added electronics, and most of this is true. Frame flex on those old Broncos is real, (or was...
