Well after over 4 months of being "in production" it is now built. Hope they clean out the yellow jacket and mice nests I'm sure it accumulated on dirt mountain before they ship it. To be honest... inflation, becoming more attached to my Jeep, higher interest rates.. just dropped $6500 on my...
Well looks like I'm one of just a handful of us now still "in production" ... wonder what was so special about my particular OBX with a hardtop and roof rails that is holding things up for three months while literally hundreds of others have been built and shipped in the meantime?...
Same ... I give up. I'm going to try not paying attention anymore. When it comes it comes. I say that now and in an hour I'll check again but im really going to try to stick with it this time!
Luckily mine did 45 days ... and it expires on 5/27. My current fake "ETA" is 5/29 ... so here we go, will have to apply again, higher rate I'm sure, another hit on my credit with a hard pull ... I'm starting to think this isn't all worth it.
Well looks like I have to reapply for my auto loan since it expires on Friday and no chance this vehicle is showing up by then.
It's my fault for jumping the gun by getting a loan for a vehicle before it was delivered but I was told back in April it was getting built and my last Bronco I...
So I called for the first time instead of doing chat ... the rep said still on plant hold and confirmed it is due to chips.. guess that wasn't the answer I was hoping for! Eta is 5/29 but I'm putting no stock in that ... dang it!
My company ordered me a 2022 GMC Sierra ... on March 25... it's at the dealership ready for pickup right now...
Isn't GM subject to the same challenges of the times? They somehow got a vehicle produced in less than 2 months ...
As one of the "5/6-5/13 ETA plant hold" people my shipping status just went from on hold to picked ... first change in 3 weeks! Could this be progress????
Ok it's May 13! All of our Broncos will be delivered today just like we've been being told for weeks (and chat is still telling me) ...im just gonna to sit at my dealership and wait! Any minute now ... I mean the trackers all say in production ... on hold... even chat says in production and on...
So again I promised myself I wouldn't reach out to Ford chat again...
" Thank you for waiting! Congratulations on your new Bronco order! I am showing the order is currently in Production! I show an estimated delivery date of May-13-2022, This will likely change once the vehicle is scheduled for...
The sad thing about this is that Ford is the world's 4th largest auto manufacturer... a $257 billion dollar company that produces about 4,000,000 vehicles a year ... they shouldnt have an issue shipping 650+ vehicles over the next week ... or for that matter the next hour and a half ... but yet...
There's so much conflicting info it's crazy... I'm interpreting "The estimated time of delivery is reflecting as May 13, 2022" as i was just told by them means physically at my dealership on that date but I've also been told by previous "agents" that it will be shipped by the 13th. I'm...
Caved and did Chat even though I promised to myself I wouldn't. Apparently I'm part of the 5/13 "plant hold" crowd:
" Thank you for your patience, Patrick! As of this time this is showing as a plant delay hold. The estimated time of delivery is reflecting as May 13, 2022. This is not currently...
Your build looks identical to mine with the exception of mine being Cactus Gray (and I only have the Mid package)... but mine is still on hold! I seriously wonder what the rhyme and reason behind it all is ... congrats to you!
