It never used to be like that, maybe I'm old school, you would typically pre-order with the shop not directly with the manufacturer, I see the two being very different
Well the difference is that other industries don't typically accept reservations for new products, if it isn't in stock because of delays then you either wait or you purchase something else that is in stock if you are impatient.
As I said in my other post, why accept reservations and a deposit...
They should just stop taking reservations until they are confident they can guarantee to fulfil orders within a respectable time frame (3-4 months after making reservation).
They are at risk of making the same mistake with the Maverick and shooting themselves in the foot.
Here's a great video of the 2 door base in antimatter blue from a new owner.
I think this looks fantastic! Looks simple and elegant, antimatter blue makes the base look more expensive and the steelies work well with the color combo
Has anyone noticed a difference in audio quality between the 2 door and 4 door, curious if the sound is a little better on the 2 door because the back speakers are closer.
I just saw a video with an automatic base model non squatch that has trail turn assist and no 4A mode. This is excellent news because it means any bronco will be very capable off road with all terrain tires.
I just found out that the 2 door has a much smaller fuel tank than the 4 door, which means that it's only got about a 250 mile range with each fill up, that with the fact that with the squatch it's averaging 12-16 MPG real world this is really disappointing news.
That color and combo looks really good, surprisingly so. The color goes well with the black/gray plastics, it even matches the badge and will match the interior.
This is making me think twice now about antimatter blue, hmmmm
They have had these accessories available for quite some time, they just didn't get round to integrating it within the Build Your Bronco Feature.
All the accessories can be found here: https://accessories.ford.com/vehicles/bronco/2021.html
I think Ford have deliberately left a few out because...
The TFL off road video included the official MPG figures, they aren't good. 20mpg for base auto non squatch, 17-18 mpg for squatch and 18 mpg for non squatch Black Diamond. The V6 is about the same with squatch which is surprising. I expect real world to be less that that more like 15-16mpg...
But the BD is only 1k more, which has the much better interior trim and the extra goat modes when you compare everything with the two its a close call but I think the BD sneaks ahead as the better value and better all round vehicle.
I still think the base non squatch is the way to go for the...
The more I'm watching these videos the more I'm thinking the non squatch base is the better option with upgraded 33 inch tires. The only thing I'd like the base to have is the turn assist which the Black Diamond automatic has, just not sure if that's worth the extra money.
I wish too that the...
The Defender has an air suspension, when you set it to off road mode it raises up automatically to drastically improve clearance.
The Smoking Tire did a great review of it's off road capabilities, he was extremely impressed with it off road and on road .
If I had the money I'd get a 2 door...
