I got a large rock chip within 150 miles of owning my Bronco so I put IAG Off-Road mud flaps on my Bronco. I like that they didn't require any drilling or cutting with the stock rock rails on the Badlands. I know StickerFab also has lower door protection film if you hate the look of mud flaps.
My guess is that it's definitely the slope of the windshield and the aerodynamics making Rain-X less effective. I put Rain-X on my Fusion and it regularly lasts well over a year. I've driven 75 MPH through pretty significant rain here in Houston without the need for wipers at all. Unless it's...
Just to clarify, do you mean this fit after you removed the factory rock rails and the body mount brackets or that these steps fit over the OEM rails somehow?
Did you end up moving the amber DRL to an aux switch? I like these lights, but anything electrical is my Achilles heal for working on vehicles so curious how that went if so. Do these lights just have power for the amber light, power for the white light, and a ground or is it more complex than...
This little tip was a lifesaver. I don't mind the road noise, but I was getting a slight whistle from my top that was driving me nuts. I made this adjustment 5 minutes before going on a 500 mile roadtrip and didn't hear a peep the whole time.
I also found a way to bust a knuckle while doing it...
I just had mine ceramic coated last week and he did the top and flares along with the paint. I live in Houston so we get lots of rain and he said the hydrophobic qualities will help the whole thing stay cleaner.
Any additional protection from the sun is also an extra perk, but the Bronco got...
You're not alone. Mine took nearly two months to get to my dealer. Mine got to the dealer yesterday (not sure why it says 1/27) and I finally get to pick it up today. Worst part was the nearly two week wait for it to get unloaded at the rail yard.
That's awesome! Still crickets on my end but hopefully soon.
Just out of curiosity, is yours showing on your dealer's website as inventory now that it's been received?
Looks great! Did you paint the base black layer at all, or leave as is? I painted my letters and assumed the adhesive would stick better to the acrylic itself rather than paint, but wanted to check with others who have done the same.
Want to have these ready if my Bronco ever leaves the rail...
Nice, I'm at Tommie Vaughn. Close, but probably different trucks. Was hoping you possibly had an update on when they would be offloaded. Were you on the train that got to Pearland on Saturday, 1/21, or have you been there longer?
Yeah I looked at the map and it appears to be right next to Hobby. I would think we would have heard of damage at the airport if it was that bad there.
Which dealership did you order through?
My Bronco is at the Pearland rail yard within a few miles from where that tornado hit. Fingers crossed there was no damage at the railyard.
If it was a casualty somehow I'm taking it as a sign from God this wasn't meant to be and will keep enjoying my Fusion.
