  1. Who here paid ADM (Adjusted Dealer Markup) for their Bronco?

More than just one! Outgrew the need to remove doors/roof years ago. Especially after moving to the desert where it seems whenever I'm on a trail that allows me to drive 15 mph, there's always a tailwind at 20 mph blowing my own dust over me. If I want the open-air experience I'll get on my...
  2. So, I took my own advice!!

I could do that. But the log book is used to log everything, not just fuel fillups. Oil changes, tire rotations, even a windshield wiper change, everything is logged. I tend to keep my vehicles for a long time (drove a GMC Terravan for 32 years!) and having all that data is extremely helpful...
  3. So, I took my own advice!!

Nope, I'm just a data NERD. Doesn't matter what the actual mileage works out to...but I want to know that the information is ACCURATE. Not what the dash display shows, or a wild guess with no data to back it up. I could post this pic of my dash display and say this is what my truck get for...
  4. So, I took my own advice!!

^This. I have a log book in every vehicle I own. Data from every time I fuel is entered into the log book, then every so often I enter the data into an Excel spreadsheet which calculates actual mpg. So I can tell you for a certainty that my 2016 F150 3.5 Ecoboost, bought new, averaged 20.5...
  5. Matt’s Offroad Recovery rescues a Bronco by welding tie rods on the trail!

Don't know what the real story was behind all this and don't really care. But as a FORMER AAA member (along with the wife) I can tell you that AAA is also misleading customers as to their service area and that may have had something to do with it. When we joined AAA we were given to understand...
  6. Ford please make a desert tan bronco

I live in the desert. See my avatar. And I would love a desert tan Bronco that just disappears into the background, not some bright color that makes it stand out in its surroundings. Quite often I park my rigs and take off on foot for several hours; I'd rather the vehicle be inconspicuous so...
  7. Is this The only way to shrink the digital speedo/tach?

The new Bronco dash display is one of the reasons I won't be buying a new Bronco.
  8. Can you auto scan radio stations?

How well does it work in areas with no cell phone signals?
  9. Payload and actual real world weight (scale weighed) of Bronco Base, 4 door, Sasquatch, 2.7

So the Bronco is still a lot lighter than my 2016 F150 Supercab 4x4. This is a shot of the scale with 3/4s of a tank of gas and two spare tires but without me in the truck.
  10. If you could tell ford 5 things to improve the "next gen" factory bronco update. What would they be?

^ Exactly! Fixed BODY COLOR roof with windows that are held in a channel when part way down. And a tan interior option! My rigs live in the dirt - I detest black that shows every bit of dirt/dust. Those two things alone might get me out of my Wrangler.
  11. New Ford Bronco Colors Reimagined

Sahara Sand Tan would be my #1 choice. With a matching tan interior for ALL panels...I detest the black interior in my Jeep. I live in the desert and I want something that DOESN'T show every bit of dust/dirt.
  12. Importance of Lockers

I consider lockers essential for anyone who does any off-roading. Trying to cross a washout for instance, deep enough that one front tire and one rear tire is hanging in the air, is well-nigh impossible without lockers. Only alternative is to try to conquer the obstacle with speed - and that...
  13. Fixed top Bronco could happen if Ford goes full Land Rover fighter

Nope, not for me. Never understood the desire for removeable doors or windows. I live in the desert and spend my time in the back country. The only Jeeps I see with doors off and roof off are those in town that never leave pavement. Those of us who drive the back roads want the dirt to stay...
  14. 2022 Bronco new interior choices?

I custom ordered my F150 just so I could have a tan interior. I want the same for my Bronco. I've lived for years now with Wranglers with black interiors (no choice offered). I hate them. Not only do they show every bit of dust/dirt that touches them, they make me feel like I'm in a tomb...
  15. Fixed top Bronco could happen if Ford goes full Land Rover fighter

^ This is me also. I'd be much more inclined to place an order for a new Bronco right away (and then wait for delivery) if I could have a good, solid non-removable hardtop - with windows that had proper window frame channels to secure them in place and stop the wind noise. I've owned several...
  16. 3000 miles in…good, bad and the ugly

Nevada and Utah are at 80 mph also...with most traffic moving faster than that!
  17. Real MPG. Las Vegas to Bend, OR. 800 miles. 2-door FE.

Did you have them recalibrated? I've read on the Ford forums there's a way to do that. Both my Fords' computers are off 1-2 mpg consistently. And for those who are still enjoying the price of regular gas at $2.75 a gallon...we haven't seen anything that cheap in months. Hovering + or - $4 a...
  18. 23 MPG (computer) in 2 door 2.7 Black Diamond

That display in the dash has another name...."lie-o-meter"....because it is rarely correct and most often quite optimistic in what it shows for fuel mileage. The one in my F150 is always at least 1-2 mpg higher than what I calculate by hand. So please - use the Fuelly app or something similar...
  19. Solid roof?

"I’m buying this vehicle for the chassis, drivetrain and running gear. If you look at the current competitors, you really have very few options right now." Clip from RG7's post says it all.
  20. Solid roof?

^ This! Mine's shown in my avatar. I've been a Wrangler owner for 30 years now. Had the top off on a Jeep only once. Didn't like it at all. I would LOVE a Bronco with a solid, body-colored roof - and door windows that fit solidly into frames. Unlike others I have not had good experiences...
