I don't think that's the case. The camera points down at an angle. In fact, I think the crossbar on the brush guard is as high as it is so it doesn't block the camera.
I know a lot of people are all about the Sasquatch package but the proportions on this are what look right to my eye.
And as I understand it, you don't get the "high clearance suspension" so travel isn't as limited. Making this a bit more practical if you don't want to immediately modify.
I'm betting the crossbar needs to be that high up so the front-facing camera doesn't get blocked. It's right between the 'O' and 'N' and pointing down at an angle.
You don't (can't, actually) get the Signature LED lighting, the machined aluminum wheels with 33"/285 tires, or the "fancier" grill on the Black Diamond. I'm sure there are some other interior/exterior cosmetic features missing from the Black Diamond as well.
Really curious why they don't allow...
This thread is really long and I haven't been able to catch up on it all, so maybe this has been discussed.
I cannot reason out for the life of me why LED Signature Lighting isn't an option on Black Diamond, when it's an option on the (lower level) Big Bend. Any insight on this?
“So basically when you look at what’s going on in the marketplace with similar competitors products, the take-rates for models with manual transmissions is relatively low,” Loeffler explained to Ford Authority executive editor, Alex Luft. “So what we wanted to do is to provide it to the...
Meh. They're just giving sales reps at dealerships some talking points for customers who are comparison shopping. Pretty standard sales and marketing stuff.
Hmmmm. I usually like black cars, but I think there's too many black plastic accessories and parts (even on the OB with painted flares) for black to work properly. This thing needs at least a little contrast.
More or less in the same boat as you. I'm looking at a 4-door because I want something four adults can get into comfortably. My Mustang has been my daily for the past 5 years and that thing is effectively a two seater. I'm tired of suffering my friends terrible driving because I can only fit one...
On the Outer Banks I get it; that’s the “I’m barely gonna take this off road, I just like this thing and I want comfort” trim.
The WildTrak? That makes less sense. I guess maybe because it’s being positioned as a Baja/forerunner trim where climate control will be crucial... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Active grill shutters close to make the air intake portions of the fascia more aerodynamic in situations (constant, low load highway speeds, etc) when airflow across the radiator is already sufficient. The shutters open up in situations when more cooling is required.
Ford already uses this on...
I learned in another thread that "High-Clearance Suspension" is limited wheel travel for the 35" Sasquatch tires, to keep them from rubbing on the wheel arches.
Yes. The 2021 Bronco will get Sync 4, which includes wireless CarPay and Android Auto.
