I have a roll down back glass in a vintage wagoneer. Itās a complete pain in the ass.
Want to walk up to the back and grab something? Better have the keys. Fumble for keys. Then insert key and wait for the window to roll down, completely. Oh, the keys are in the ignition? Walk around, open...
Yeah the doors do open normally, Iām sure. Iām just not seeing enough room for them to open even 70* without hitting the mirror.
I mentioned it earlier but the mirror also has to fold. Can you imagine having your mirrors folded and not being able to open the door? Or smashing the window on the...
yeah no exterior hinging that I see. Inner tube doors stay put when the door skins slide off and connect to the mirrors.
The mirrors HAVE to move, right?
Keep in mind the mirrors also have to fold and be able to open the doors. Only way I see that happening is if they pivot with the inner tube...
I believe the silver mount in this picture holding the mirror on is directly connected to the inner tube door and pivots when the door is opened. Thereās just not enough room for the door to open otherwise.
It also makes sense why the body dips down there. Not just styling but provides clearance...
Even with the mirrors on the cowl/fender. Itās my belief they move when the door is opened to allow clearance for the door and window.
Weāve seen patents indicating this. And it doesnāt look like thereās enough room to open the door if the mirror stays stationary.
I think the inner tube door...
First thing I think of when I see those front fender loops are the turn signal indicators on the hood of a 67-68 mustang. Iām wondering if they have lights in them for the driver to indicate that the blinker is on. T birds and Mercuryās also had these if Iām not mistaken.
Second thing that...
What if the manual option adds 2 seconds to your 0-60 time and cuts the towing capacity in half vs the 10 speed? Would you still want it?
Look at the manual in the gladiator. Towing capacity for the manual is something like 4200 lbs and 7500 for the auto. The auto will walk away from it in a...
Well, it is true NASA spent millions developing the space pen while the soviets used pencils.
But last I checked, we put a man on the moon and they didnāt and I can now get a space pen off amazon for $20.
Also just noticed the camo appears to have letters that spell out BRONCO with the bronco symbol along with icons that could be indicator lights/buttons for the interior or drive modes.
One thing to consider, IF there is some sort of air/active suspension option , the front IFS with a sway bar disconnect and some computer Tom foolery could be made to mimic a front straight axle in ārock crawlā mode. Possibly by sharing air between the front air springs. (Left front tire gets...
Itās very possible itās just pitch/roll but the bottom of these two pictures in my opinion would require excessive roll considering heās driving on ice with the wheels straight...
Check out the two pics I posted in post #214. Now draw a straight line from the bottom of the running board to wheel center front and back. The difference is drastic. In my opinion too much to be brake dive. But judge for yourself.
you may be right but look at where the running board lines up with wheel center line in these two pics. By my eyes thereās a clear difference in ride heights that couldnāt be justified by brake dive, etc.
