The color changing panel thing is interesting. Looking down on the top of my 2 door in the sun, the passenger side panel appears to be a different shade than the driver and shell. Take the two panels out and put them side by side in the shade, no noticeable difference.
I’m not worried about it...
If you told them you don’t want it, then you don’t want it. They’re not going to cancel it, because it’s been so hard to land one. Have to keep those orders in, especially with the allocation wrenches thrown in. You may have a case by the technical wording, but if you hadn’t bailed you would be...
Haha you know what? I have been doing the hang loose thing, and I have no idea why. Not something I normally do, ever. Only thing I can think of is that when I see another Bronco, I immediately think “Sweet!” And that’s the hand gesture hardwired to my brain?
I don’t hate it! Something about it does work!
I am not a fan of the color matched tops, if the top comes off it should be advertised. My dad had a green Land Cruiser with a white top when I was a kid, and I had the old bright red YJ with a tan top. Feel like it needs some contrast to be retro.
It is frustrating. Ford did a horrendous job with communication. The flip flop on allocation vs reservation was really a stab in the eye for a lot of people.
I was a 7/15 res. 2 door BL. 2.3 Stick, non SAS. I didn’t compromise on the tow and 2 door. Right from the start went with the mod...
As someone working in another field that involves warranties…
No, installing a lift kit doesn’t void your warranty. But any sort of failure where you chose to modify the vehicle with “parts by others” won’t be covered. This is where it gets sketchy. My tranny blew! Warranty claim!
Well, did you...
I took delivery of my 2 door Badlands on Friday. Mod bumper, I’ve ordered the JCR winch plate for the Smittybilt off my old Jeep. It’s.. umm.. pricey.. but about all that’s out there without a whole new bumper.
I don’t care all that much about the cost, since I had a stash squirreled away just...
Inundated with emails. Now that’s funny.
I reordered in October for a 22. Got that email. Then silence.. and more silence. Found out through the back door link I had been picked up for a build week. No email. Build week moved. No email. Build week moved again. No email. Started making a nuisance...
Then you get wet. BUT.. my Wrangler has a fold up cover. Bring it when I go out with threat of weather. In a pinch you could pull over and throw the cover on. A tarp could work, but you’d need to tie it pretty strategically. You’re probably still wet, but maybe you can save the carpet.
I’ll be...
Same. I looked at a new Harley instead. But nothing wrong with the old 2000 Fatboy. Looked at a boat. Too much headache. Looked at instead throwing 30k at the old 95 Wrangler. Tempting, but still old technology, unless I literally replace everything, so why not just buy a new Jeep!
Even Rubicon...
I think there’s a shot.. it seems like once negative press from real sources started to surface, rather than the flood of Ford Bronco! Da Coolest!, Ford decided to mitigate it. They FINALLY stopped taking orders, at least reducing the BS allocation jumping. For now.
Seems like they might be...
I would miss the truck bed. I have been a truck owner since I got my first one in 05'-06'. I am also a huge proponent of the "extra vehicle". It costs more, having 3 vehicles insured and registered for 2 people, but consider it an insurance policy. 1 goes down? No big deal at all. Trick is that...
People are just wired differently. My wife is and always will be a grayscale vehicle driver. I’m not, and I hate repeating colors. My Jeep is red, and my old Tundra was a green that was very close to EG. So they were out.
Came down to a blue or the orangello. My 6 year old (at the time! 8 now!)...
