Back with an update. The long travel has been amazing. The added length helps a lot not only in the open desert but on the rocks. I have added the 74weld rack, set of bump stops, and 38” falkens.
same route I went with on my basesasquatch. Hoss 2.0 rack with heim Steering from wicked. I he’s the crap out of this thing and no issues so far.And I’m long travel +5 and on 38” tires
I went with the 74weld 2.0 rack and wouldn’t go back ..it’s a much better setup than anything else. My opinion the hoss 3.0 is an upgrade but not much really. And with the 2.0 no programming needed.
But to answer the question the hoss rack still shares some of the same weak design points from the 2.0 rack. Mainly the spring retainer which will allow the rack to skip. The 74 weld rack addresses these issues. I can still see the hoss housing cracking under heavy load from added articulation...
Much stronger housing not really comparable . Don’t get me wrong the hoss 3.0 rack is stronger than the oem rack. But in my opinion just the electronics alone are a pain. Don’t forget if for some reason you take in your bronco to ford and they have to flash a driver to your bronco it can lock...
Today I spent the day at 74 weld looking at all their new products and dame their amazing. I picked up a rack for my bronco and will be offering them through my site. I love the idea of the 2.0 rack vs 3.0. No need to program and honestly the upgrade to the hosss rack isn’t that big of a deal...
Bringing this thread back took a while since I wanted to make sure their was no issues down the road..as of now we jsut did the front bracket and a spacer on the passnager side and had no issues. On one bronco that keeped breaking cv axle retainers, the diff drop helped the issue and has no...
it’s been a few months now running this kit on the rocks and sand. I never really though how much a long travel kit would help crawling. The added width keeps the truck so stable while doing any off camber climbs. I did go to a stronger tie rod linkage. Went with jeeperf rods. Their pricy but...
Quick update on the bronco. We had her out at the mint400 just for show. Here are some pics of her. Besides that axles are finally coming in and will get to test on the rocks. In the open desert and dunes she’s a way diffrent beast from when it just had kings. Hopefully I can get some video next...
