I had this issue at 2400 miles. After two months waiting on parts (I was also told I could have driven it in the meantime but chose to put miles on their loaner) my truck had the same repair and was back on the road. Up to 4k miles as of yesterday; I did not notice an increase in power.

OP - I had the exact same sound start in early December. It was diagnosed as a cam phaser issue and it sat at the dealer for two months waiting on the parts to fix it. I was told I could drive it in the...
Yes. It was apparently a pretty extensive repair but I've had it back three weeks and I've only driven 300 miles in that time. So far it appears to be resolved.
My motor also has a 21175 build date. I took mine in for a vicious rattle on start-up one month ago. The dealer has diagnosed an issue with the cam phasers that they're waiting on parts to fix. In the meantime the dealer gave me a loaner F150 that I'd rather drive when it's cold and rainy...
Yeah, this seems to be on the dealer to initiate and handle the fallout with FoMoCo. My Bronco is in the shop for a much less significant warranty repair and my dealer sent me home in a loaner 2020 F-150 the day I brought it in, no questions asked.
I'm an interested owner of a 2.7 Bronco that sounds like a diesel engine for two seconds on start-up. I've searched around. Every failure that is floating around in different threads is referenced here. If you're going to throw around the 13 number with authority maybe you should compile the...
Where are the "more than a dozen" blow-ups? The tracker in this thread lists 5. There are a couple more mentioned in this thread, and a couple more "saw it on facebook" references. That's still a 35% increase away from 12+.
I've been following this thread and the forum to see if any of these failures have come with warning signs. My 2.7 clatters like a diesel engine for a couple of seconds at start-up and has for almost two weeks. It has coincided with colder weather here in Georgia, but my Bronco is garage...
Portraying someone trying to buy a $50,000 car as a victim isn't exactly the slam dunk local news sensation that some of you appear to think that it is.
