They did eventually get the sensor working again. They said they traced it back to a low voltage issue. They actually said they found a bunch of low voltages, they called them ghost readings as they were not severe enough to show up on diagnostic tests and had to be found through some sort of...
This thread is somewhat old and stale, but I wanted to chime in with my experience in case anyone comes through having similar issues. My external thermostat was reading 120-145F this morning... in January in Colorado. It varied through those temps widely throughout my morning commute. It also...
I've pictured my experience actually picking up the Bronco when it finally comes in, and I think you nailed it on the head. I'll be happy with the truck, but I'll be pissed at everyone who had a hand in the original hardtop fiasco, whoever decided they did not need chips and would apparently...
Youāre assuming
What Iām saying is you appear to be assuming just because you have a scheduled date or a blend date that they have your electronics ready to go, or that because they shipped some out last week on time that all of next weeks will also be shipped on time. Thatās historically not...
Just chiming in, 1/22 blend date, been in production ever since. I know the excitement will come back whenever I get it but this blows. I canāt even find it in myself to be happy for others that got theirs, because odds are they were reserved after me and through some Ford BS got moved ahead of...
I canāt tell if youāre being sarcastic or not. My blend date was 1/22/22, and I can assure you they did not, in fact, have my chips snug at MAP. And thereās plenty of people with blend dates before mine waiting on chips.
I remember reading somewhere that Jeep has Bestop locked down as far as offering tops straight from the factory, and that's why Ford can't offer them. I'm not sure why Ford didn't go for another 3rd party to produce a soft top straight from the factory, but looking at the hard top debacle maybe...
We're counting every single day from reservation onwards because Ford had all that time - well over a year - to prepare for the larger numbers and completely dropped the ball. So yeah, that time does count against them. Production may not have started until mid-2021, but Ford's been working on...
If theyāre firing the plants back up again, it better mean theyāre anticipating getting the parts in for the ones that have been āin productionā for 2 months. My understanding is they wouldnāt pull an order for production unless they had the parts for itā¦ so whatās the hold up with my 1/17...
What gets my goat is that there was a shortage on hard tops so they didnāt build mine, and now that they have my hard top thereās a shortage of chipsā¦ because theyāve been churning out base Broncos to send to people that order last month. So what, I have to wait until every last part is...
But other folks are getting information such as whether they are code 99'd, or if their build is considered buildable from their dealers. If I knew I was 99'd I'd at least be able to let go of hope for a bit and not die a tiny death every Thursday. They're also being told that their dealership...
Oof, this is the kind of response I was looking for. I need to consider myself lucky I'm getting what I'm getting, I guess.
I test drove my dealer's 4dr Badlands soft top on Monday, it was awesome. I'm 100% in love but it's making the wait even harder.
But knowing what place I am in line compared to their other confirmed orders and my status code is something ONLY they can tell, that stuff doesn't get emailed to me from Ford. I'm looking for any indication at all of my place in line beyond my reservation time stamp.
Another thread posted that there won't be any emails at all this week, and perhaps no mass notifications until after the 7/16 deadline to switch from MIC to soft tops gets all sorted out. No sense in scheduling a whole bunch of builds until after the changed orders get finalized.
Maybe my expectations are being too high and I shouldn't set the bar by what I see here on the forums, but my dealer has been absolutely useless during my whole order process.
The order process itself was a joke, and the salesmen had zero knowledge of the Broncos, their options, or what might...
I'm assuming that even if you can't order a roof rack on the 4dr sas from the factory, you can still buy one from the dealer and put it on yourself at your own risk? I get that adding a a good bit of weight to a vehicle sitting a few inches higher off the ground could push it over that threshold...
