Finally got a chance to get pocket and filler panel cut, grill made and panel mounted back over sub/enclosure While panels were out, I decided to sound deaden everywhere I could. The Hertz 5 channel amp will fit in the storage area under the floor in front of the jack.

I had already purchased the Hertz HCP 5D amplifier and it makes the most power at 2 ohms. I'm still undecided about leaving the port or sealing it up

I didn't even realize the B&O enclosure was ported until I received it.

Yes ... Sealed is just like is sounds, no air/sound vented out. A ported box is tuned to a specific frequency that "boosts" those tones. A ported enclosure is generally louder but a sealed box sounds more "accurate"

Comparison of stock B&O sub to Audison Enclosure deadened inside and out with Siless. Made a quick spacer plate instead of cutting the enclosure up. Quick test fit before moving onto the next stage.

I plan on trying it ported as well....but I'm hoping to get this 8" to go as low as possible so the sub "disappears" if that makes sense

I am finally getting around to my audio upgrade and am going with the B&O enclosure but with the Audison APS 8D. Is everyone closing off the port or leaving it....anyone have a guess as to volume and/or tuning frequency of the port? Thanks in advance and will update build as things progress...
