  1. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

I did forget to mention one thing that I thought was interesting and is probably in the oweners manual that is not going to get read... On the dash in the upper let corner of the display is a small bronco logo and the display has a blue color scheme...When you switch your goat mode the bronco...
  2. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

Its been a while since I started this post so I thought I would provide a quick update. It has been about 2 months since we took delivery, 3500 miles, and 1 payment made (59 to go:( ) I am not going to rehash everything from the start of the post just a couple updates. Auto Off Feature -...
  3. Cyber Orange vs School Bus side-by-side

Here is our sons 1972 Bronco in 1972 Ford Grabber Orange. Actual ford color in 72 but dont think it was an original Bronco Color. Not much orange here in 72 either. Maybe a little color blind in the paint naming department. We were going with cyber orange to match the 72 but decided 1 grabber...
  4. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

Yep. Our tahoe had that feature. Even had someone else try to make sure I wasnt just a complete DA. No Go. I would love for someone to tell me I am a complete DA and here is how to do it but crickets so far. From what I have read I think the OBX and higher trim levels have it when you move...
  5. Decode VIN Number

Thanks. I have already taken delivery and was just curios if there was away to find out. Thought about a custom tag with the production number.
  6. Decode VIN Number

Does anyone out there know how to decode the VIN number to see what production number you are? I would be interested to know on mine. Last 5 digits are 68265. I assume its not 68,265 because I think total orders were about 120k and we all know they have not delivered that many yet. Also, who is...
  7. How long did your Bronco remain in "Production" status?

Blend Date 6/28 - Build Date 7/1 (only in production for 1 day)- Built email on 7/2 -- Delivered to Dealership 7/15 - Took Delivery 7/17 Last update I got from Ford was that it was in "shipping" stage aka Inspection lot at plant aka FORDs purgatory. The dealership can run a report that they...

Nice attention to detail on the Steelers. I did not notice that on our trip and we had the air set to low and the fan on a lower setting. Have you seen any others around the CLT area. I have not seen any in my area but that is about to change. My brother-in-law is scheduled for delivery in 2...
  10. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

Congrats on your Bronco. No we live in Lexington NC. Only FORDs we own are Broncos so we didnt have a relationship with a local FORD dealership. In our little group of 14 early broncos one guy had a relationship with Richenbach so several of us (6 reservations) followed him there. We were more...

yep. i have that button also. i was hoping after hitting it then 'ok' on the dash alert it would stay off but it must reset every time you start it. I just dont like having to remember to push it every time i get in. first car i have owned with the feature so it will just take me some time to...
  12. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

my wife has it at work so I will check and send a close ups of running boards this evening but guessing 4-5 inches. issue comes from the water off the tires when its raining. it lands on the running board and just sits there. just a drain in the front would be great. I may drill a hole after...
  13. Another dealership victim

We live NC but had a group of us that all got reservations at the same time and followed one guy in our group to Mike Richenbach Ford in Florence SC. No issues at all and they went above and beyond to the point I bought the sales guy a $50 GC to Outback for all the help he provided. Once I got...
  14. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

I have not noticed any delamination but stevie wonder can see the honeycomb bleed through. I was mis-informed by the dealer when ordering. I wanted the Soft top but they said that would delay my build. I guess I got lucky mine made it out of the factory with the MIC top before that shortage...
  15. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

agree. wanted the leather or at least the marine grade but had to give it up when we went to Big Bend. The cloth is still very comfortable. one plus on the cloth is that it doesnt get blistering hot while the top is out. time will tell how it wears.
  16. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

true statement. I am fortunate enough to have 2 grown children that have their own restored broncos (a 72 and a 74) and my days of pack and plays and dog kennels are way behind me. Look forward to reading your review and getting your thoughts on the new Bronco.
  17. 9 Day Road Trip in a 4-Door Big Bend Bronco 2.7L -- First Impression Review

I am interested to see other reviews of the higher end models compared to mine. We were going Outerbanks but all of our early broncos are blacked out and we wanted this one to match so we had to drop down to the big Bend to get non-body color door handles and mirrors but then had to add back the...
  18. Running boards recommendations for 4-door Bronco?

i got the factory running boards on our 4 door big bend. I think they look great and set off the side of the Bronco. you cant do mud flaps on the front if you do running boards. Couple posts I have seen is that the lower body trim above where the step rail is is not painted. Mine is painted...
