A BOV in a closed loop system will most likely throw codes. An intake might mess with the O2 sensor too causing code throwing. Just as a heads up. You'll still hear the wastegate dumping without a BOV.
I think the MGV is water "resistant" because of the stitching. The actual material is probably more of a water "proof", but around the stitching makes it water "resistant".
I love it how the cars I've owned in the last 30 years, the fuel economy gets worse with each new car purchase. 92 VW Gti was getting mid to low 30's. then various other VW's, same. then I had a Fiat 500, mid to high 20's, then a Jeep Renegade low to mid 20's... and now the Bronco at if I'm...
The only option I have to choose from is Badlands because manual w/creature comforts. I would definitely consider getting other trims like Wildtrack or Black Diamond if I could get manual w/creature comforts!
Lately I found it cheaper to just pay the dealership to change my oil for me. I can't even buy oil and the filter for what they charge for parts and labor. Dealerships sell oil change packages to get you back in the door to get you on all the extra things they find in their 26 point inspection.
whatever you do, do not use power tools to screw the oil pan plug back in. That's a great way to cross-thread it, and then you have a whole new mess on your hands. I've never done that, but I took an old car to a quick oil change shop many years ago and the young wannabe oil change kid jacked up...
I will forever drive a manual. The only way I'll flip is if I get an electric vehicle, but hopefully by then we'll have flying cars and I'll want that instead.
