Had my V1 MIC top replaced on my 2dr with the V2 in January. No issues with the new top other than the Tech broke the rear window hinge covers during removal. New covers just recently installed by dealer.
I didn’t really have any issues with the V1 roof just thought I would get it replaced...
Went from a F-150 extended cab, 5.2 V8 to 2dr OBX and not sad at all.
Gas mpg about the same, lost some creature comforts (noise and ride) but dam the Bronco is just fun to drive.
How many times do you actually use a truck as a truck? I have the roof rack on my Bronco and have hauled lumber...
Could be all the “new” MIC tops are being diverted to replacing the defective original ones. i just got my new top installed on my 2dr.
P.S. The Dealer said they were instructed to cut up the old top.
The Twiststep has been our choice for several years now. Being puppy raisers for Guide Dogs for the Blind, the step has saved our backs (from lifting puppies) and the back of our Lexus (from the didn’t quite make leap attempts). It is also good at preventing stress injuries from dogs jumping out...
My OB in OW from the assembly line to home. Has anyone not Plasti dipped the rear Bronco badge (hint Ford)? I also cover the the flange under the side with rubber molding. Month and a half in and still digging it.
When I removed one of the rear seats a light showed up on the dash (restraint system alarm) and got two alerts on FordPass for seat system. Reinstalled seat and alarms cleared. Seat removal/reinstall are simple 2 screws, 2 bolts and 2 nuts with 1 plug disconnect/reconnect. Haven’t seen a...
I got 200k points with activation of FordPass upon delivery of the vehicle. Received another 42k about a week later, reason unknown.
Think your over-inflating the value of the points, I believe they are worth only $200 toward Ford accessories.
Sorry for your troubles!!
I am amazed at the number of damaged vehicles that have shown up on this site.
Is this a normal transportation issue for manufacturers and are we just more aware of the problems because we can see them here?
Mine arrived damaged, but fortunately it was just a broken...
LOVE this group they give me such great ideas. Added molding to cover the exposed flange under doors and Plasti Dipped (1st time) the chrome horse on tailgate. Now just have solve the seat removal alarm bypass.
Need to clarify what you did with the seat belts? The seat belt receiver is part of the seat back assembly. How does hiding the belt under the floor negate the dash alarm?
Yes the seat back has a cable that connects at the floor. Simple plug connector easy to disconnect but I haven’t found a work around for the warning light yet. The Black Diamond seats may have the same connection?
