It's basically what Plug N Play offers - a harness that adapts the factory wiring harness and has bare wire leads that you connect to your amp. The speakers are then powered by the external amp but still connected using the factory wiring and harness.
I'm happy with the Mobridge so far. I was going to get the PAC but they weren't in stock when I decided to order. It hasn't been installed for very long but I haven't had any issues or reasons to regret the purchase.
I am using the Toslink output into a Helix DSP Ultra. The DSP outputs to 3...
I'm not OP but I've been gradually doing my stereo upgrades from the B&O system and that has involved removing the factory amp. I'm not quite finished with everything but my current signal chain is:
Data Bus > Mobridge DA-G2.Entry A2B > Helix DSP > amps > speakers/subwoofer
Regarding the...
Impressive! I've got GB60s installed but I haven't seem to run into the issue you described. Granted, they're still currently running on the B&O system. Maybe they're just not reaching the same excursion. I'll keep this in mind when I finish the rest of my install.
Thanks for sharing all of...
It will be interesting to see the size of the rear pods compared to the factory pieces. The anesthetic isn't too bad; I like the more understated look compared to some of the Jeep/marine pods from companies like DS18. If they're not too bulky and/or grossly expensive I'd consider giving them a shot.
I've already got the current mud flap offering installed but I would switch to these if they make it to market. I like this design quite a bit. It would be nice to see some different sizes offered, too.
Some folks use a digital multimeter and some equations to determine the voltage and adjust to get that value. That'd get you in the ballpark but there still may be clipping. A multimeter is affordable and handy to have around so that'd be worthwhile. A more precise method of setting gain would...
My estimated arrival window was changed from 09/07-09/13 to 09/17-09/23. The trackers also show the status on Awaiting Shipment. I feel like I'm losing my marbles -- I swear it used to say it was in transit on OrderTrack.app. I was at my dealership last week and the sales rep seemed to suggest...
This would be my choice. There are refurbished units on Amazon for $250, which is pretty darn compelling for 8 channels of amplification and DSP. I have no idea how reliable they are but it seems like an option at least worthy of consideration.
Great River Roadhouse is awesome. Did you try the Gordoni? It's a bit rich but it sure is interesting.
I'm definitely more interested in the northern portion of the TWAT but the southwest corner of Wisconsin does have some great views and fun roads.
My status is still In Production on both Ford links and my modules have not populated yet (08/08 blend, 70/939).
I haven't spent much time in other build week threads so I'm not sure what a typical time frame might look like. It will be nice to see some movement but for now I'm just grateful to...
What dash cam are you using it with? I've been leaning toward the Garmin 57, at least out of the options Dongar has on their website, but I haven't done much research into other brands or models yet.
I was able to place an order with the promo just now. As others have mentioned, it probably won't work with the app. If clicking the link launches the app, instead open it in a new tab and add to your cart from the browser page that comes up. It will show as $299 there and in your cart. When you...
It's a nice feeling. I somehow managed to get a build date and window sticker without the weekly bumps that a lot of you all had to endure.
Good luck, fellas!
My order was just canceled. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Tricky Dick, I'd like to be on your list if you've got room for another.
A lot of folks mod these with a pressure switch so it'll turn off if it's running but not connected to anything. It helps protect the compressor from excess wear but it's also is a convenience feature. There are a bunch of videos on the process that can explain it a lot better than I ever could...
