Mine ended up being the steering gear. I was out of commission for a month waiting on a part :(

I asked my dealership how I got so lucky. They said "we just kept on them daily for a part" but she's home today and I am so happy! I put that top back immediately!

Have either of you been offered a buy back from Ford? Maybe that isn't an option in your area. But everyone I talk to says that I might need to consider it :( But I waited so long for mine. I can't imagine waiting again or trying to find a build I'm happy with on a lot :( No fun all the way...

Just commented on another thread you were on :( I am on week 3 for the steering gear. Mine didn't go out, but i noticed a weird sound when I would turn far right (think going up an on ramp that is a clover shape). Went in, they said "we don't know what it is.. we cannot replicate that sound"...

I am on week 3 of this issue :( Currently driving a dealership Ford Ranger, which I am very thankful for. But I drove by the other day and they had mine parked out front in the overflow and I got pretty upset :( Looks like I should prepare for a longer wait :(

Yes!! It will all be okay! Everyone keeps telling me "Hopefully they'll keep it past 30 days and you can just get a new one" People just do not get it. I waited forever for her. It's not just a car. She is more than that to me.

Still enjoying the ride! But over the past few days I've noticed a grinding or rubbing sound? If I turn the wheel to the right (exp turning onto the freeway from the on ramp) i can feel it even in my gas or brake pedal. Tonight, it was really bad to the point where I just brought it home and...

When it's making this noise can you feel grinding in the brake pedal? Mine is making a similar sound when I turn really far to the right. Almost getting worse. Dealership seems to think it's fine. It doesn't sound fine though.
