Welp, although the first 450 miles took 20 days, the last 2000 miles only took two. Just got a call from the dealership and it will be ready for pickup today at 3:00. š
My ship date was 8/11. I just found out my Bronco is sitting in Galesburg Il which means it has moved 450 miles in 20 days. That's 22.5 miles a day which is the speed that the French army marched under Napoleon. At that rate, since I live near Seattle, I calculate that I should see my rig...
My dealer is pretty unhelpful. In the past they have told me there is only one person at the dealership who can answer questions regarding Broncos, but he is always busy and has never returned a message. I finally talked to his assistant and she basically told me that itās in transit and they...
I just checked the tracker. Apparently I have advanced from one level of purgatory to the next. Ford is predicting that paradise is about 12 to 28 days away, more or less.
My ābuiltā email showed up on 8/3 but nothing since then. To be fair, they are showing my ETA as 9/6, but I was hoping they were just being REALLY conservative. Like everyone else, the thought that my Bronco is built and just sitting somewhere gathering dust is extremely maddening.

āYesss! Finally received the Built email. Now things are moving!ā

āDammitā¦ Iām still in purgatory.ā
You and me both, brother. Most every soft top build within a hand grenades throw of mine have received their shipped email.
Me and disappointment have moved from being vaguely familiar to really close friends.
I think the āBuiltā email is coincident with the āreleaseDateā on aemservices. No release date = built purgatory. I am currently in shipment purgatory. š
You can't read anything into the date of the window sticker. Once the window sticker is created, it will update every seven days. At least that has been my experience.
Hopefully this changes before the next revision and it becomes a moot point, but I am actually still in the built but not shipped category. Unfortunately...
Does anyone have a good read on the data in aemservices? I have "releaseDate":"2021-08-02" but my "shipmentDate":"" is still null, so I am assuming it is still waiting to be loaded for transport. Does that sound correct?
I have about the same numbers as you but going to Sound Ford in Renton. Hopefully they are being wildly conservative about that transit time.
