Option A: unfinished paint on Ford
Option B: Koenigsegg, apparently
the vast majority of cars are completely painted. You can buy a 20k car that at least fully painted.
4 door Wrangler Willys with Extreme Recon package should be 40,930 according to Car and Driver, placing the 2 door about where you’re describing. They did lol
It ain’t Webasto. It’s Ford. It’s the design. It doesn’t work. They got cute with it instead of going with the tried and true and it doesn’t work. They are making what they’re told to make. It’s garbage.
Can someone with a better understanding of the legalities surrounding dealerships come out and explain to me why Ford Corporate can’t come out and say “MSRP MAXIMUM to reservation holders or no Bronco allocations for 6 months”?
It also destroys the “value proposition” benefits over a Wrangler. Who cares if it’s cheaper for the same options if Wranglers are 4-6% off MSRP and Broncos have a 5k ADM? This is where Ford doesn’t realize it screws them. You can’t undercut your competitor when dealers make the truck 5-10k more...
Just remember, as I’ve been told dozens of times on this board, there’s absolutely NOTHING Ford can do to get their dealer network in line and this kind of thing happens to EVERY automaker.
Which of my points was incorrect? What change have they made to the process to benefit customers? Ford isn’t a nefarious actor, they just made promises they had no intention nor ability to keep. No one asked for a reservation system, they just implemented one with no ability to follow up on it...
Way to move those goalposts. You going to admit that your initial post was completely wrong or not?
Say it with me. Ford screwed this up. They lied. They told people it was a reservation and time stamp based system when they wanted your reservations, then changed it over and over to screw the...
Ford just looked at Tesla’s reservation system and said “ooh, that looks neat! You just take reservations” and thought absolutely NONE about the logistics that have to follow such a system.
I’m all for the squared fenders, should be the standard on all models. But flat fenders that big and it’s just going to look like a wide Wrangler haha
A few years ago when I tried to buy a Raptor all dealers in my area not only refused to charge less than 10k MSRP, they also refused to order it the way I wanted it. I wanted one that had a 57k MSRP and no dealer in my area (we checked with about four) would even order a Raptor that had a...
