I would love to do the off Roadeo in Texas too... we love the Austin Area and have not been out that way in some time! We are flying into Denver and road tripping to Moab so hoping to get to do plenty of trails along the way. We will be out there for 9 days.
If the top is off it's on my head to help contain my loads of hair... if the top is on then it sits on my dash on top of my rail phone mount since I tend to not use the phone mount all that often. With the windows down the hat seems to rest sturdily over top of the phone mount.
So one thing that I have noticed about the sandstone dash after parking my bronco and driving my truck for a few days is that there is not any noticeable windshield glare with the sandstone. The dark brown dash on my truck causes a serious glare on my windshield during my commute home on sunny...
I have corgis so that's not really an option. They are stubby little vacuums for anything that even remotely looks edible. We do get those peppermint oil pouches for the garage and our boat to help keep rodents at bay...
