  1. Rapid Red BaseSquatch Impressions

I won’t lie, it’s a bit of a step to get up and in. We’re in our 40’s and I’m 5’10” and my wife is 5’9” and we have gotten used to it. I’m trying to avoid the steps because they take away from the pretty much perfect stance. When somebody comes out with some rock slider/steps that are tucked up...

I think it’s fine. It has a rubber like feel. The interior as whole has a very all work no play feel to it. Definitely designed to get wet and dirty and hold up to that. Nothing to tear or wrinkle or wear out.
  4. Bronco production update 8/3: More downtime expected weeks of 8/16 and/or 8/23

Ford has given dealers this option but dealers are individually owned and most don’t want that responsibility. I’m not saying some of this isn’t on fords hands. I’m saying all of it isn’t Ford’s fault. Trying to launch a brand new highly anticipated vehicle in the midst of a worldwide pandemic...
  5. Rapid Red BaseSquatch Impressions

The rapid red looks good! I’ve always felt it was one of their best colors. Has that good sparkle to it. Wife’s exact words “I never would have picked that color from a pic but it looks REALLY GOOD now that I’ve seen it.”
  6. Bronco production update 8/3: More downtime expected weeks of 8/16 and/or 8/23

These down weeks aren’t a Bronco specific thing. Ford has tentatively scheduled down weeks for chip and commodity shortages. This is across all vehicle production, not just bronco. This is also not just a Ford thing. Having contacts at a few different auto companies, on the production side, not...

Zero regrets on the 2.3L, it’s not the 2.7L but it doesn’t suck. About the same as the V6 Jeep’s. I’ve driven the 2.7L and it runs good so really just comes down to cost.
  8. Rapid Red BaseSquatch Impressions

Yeah for those on the fence about the 2.3L it runs just fine. Can always go test drive a 2.3L ranger to get a feel for it. Obviously more power is always better but I knew from experience the 2.3L would be plenty. I went from a $55k wildtrak build and shaved $15k off the price and it is just as...
  9. Rapid Red BaseSquatch Impressions

No the base doesn’t come with the tinted windows. Higher end models do though.

  11. Rapid Red BaseSquatch Impressions

I’m one week and almost 1000 miles into this and have to say I’m 100% happy with my decision and my build. I’m also happy to report I’ve had zero issues and zero grimlins. As a background from a 43 year old, I’ve had multiple trucks, lifted trucks, and Jeep’s in my past. Been to many off-road...
