  1. Strange Popping Sound on Soft-top

Hay thanks, Iā€™ll take a look. I have a sound insulating blanket located between the soft top and a bimini top. maybe the blanket pushing against the soft top caused some of the metal frame pieces to,separate a bit or something. It sounds almost like two fishing rods slapping together every...
  2. Strange Popping Sound on Soft-top

Hey! I have this issue as well. It just started. Did you ever figure out the cause? ps - I see you are also located in MD. Maybe this is a MD thing haha..
  3. Haven't 100% decided on a Bronco yet, but we really want one...

2022 wildtrak softtop heavily accessorized. absolutely zero issues at just shy of 60,000 miles. For road noise I pop a sound insulating blanket (from Amazon) between the Bimini and the soft top, which makes a huge difference. i found that different tires made a huge difference in sound...
  4. Secure Storage Box unit for cargo area?

Ps - the diabolical system does not cover up the floor or side panels of the stock rear compartment, so I imagine youā€™d be good to go with your subwoofer.
  5. Secure Storage Box unit for cargo area?

I have many miles on the diabolical at this point (40k?). the impression that it canā€™t be reconfigured on the fly is incorrect - it is quite versatile. the front wall folds down after removing a few simple push-pins. Same for the entire top - which is similarly Removable after pulling a few...
  6. Any reason to stick with stealership for oil changes?

lemme tell you a story: the car is a flex with the 1st generation 3.5 L ecoboost Engine, purchased new along with a 120k mile extended warranty from the same dealer. At around 100k it was determined by the dealer that it had a stretched timing chain, which is an expensive repair on that...
  7. Hands-free phone background noise

If you have a soft-top you can very effectively cut down on road and wind noise from the top by installing a Bimini and then putting sound insulation on top of the Bimini before you close the top. I use a sound-insulation curtain-thing I purchased from Amazon that works remarkably well, and it...
  8. XM Antenna Relocation - my DIY results

Well ok, the tone of your response told me that I must not have understood what i was looking at. I admit i'm not an expert here, and i have been learning from your posts in particular. Indeed, as i went back and looked closer at most of the hits, there were two connectors (except for one...
  9. XM Antenna Relocation - my DIY results

Ok I have a lux Wildtrak, with XM reception issues due to a variety of reasons. What I have learned from this thread: my stock single antenna receives both XM and GPS, so I canā€™t simply purchase an aftermarket XM antenna and do a relocation without losing my nav System when there is no cell...
  10. Sirius Antenna Removal?

Have you considered Exposed Racks? I have a set and they work great. My only issue is that the rear rack goes across the Sirius antenna location which further diminishes your reception, but in your case it doesnā€™t matter. If you arenā€™t familiar with Exposed Racks, theyā€™re cross-bar style roof...
  11. Question AUX switches - single switch wired to 2 relays for 2 circuits

Yes. I would take a look at the current draw for your relays, to make sure that when you combine them you don't require more oomph than one of the lower amperage aux switches. But honestly i would be stunned if that turned out to be the case.
  12. Build quality absolute garbage (Closed due to insults)

Ouch. I read about this issue while waiting for my bronco and thankfully took care of it the moment I took delivery (Sasquatch). Rekgens plus go-rhino running boards, now at 33k miles and not a single rock ding, with lots of bombing around on old forest roads and defunct logging roads In...
  13. Thoughts on these potential upgrades?

I have the rekgens on my wildtrak and are very pleased with them. Between the rekgens and go-rhino running boards I donā€™t have a single door ding at 35k miles. And yes I take it off-road routinely, plus lots of gravel roads in north-central PA.
  14. Antenna relocation kit for installing Roof Top Tents while keeping Sirius XM Radio?

The satellite antenna is on top of the roll bar. I installed a pair of Exposed Racks under my soft top wildtrak, and the rear one unfortunately goes over the top of the antenna which makes it worse. I too am patiently waiting for a satellite antenna relocation kit.
  15. Impressions at 25,000 miles.

30k miles on a ā€˜22 wildtrak with zero issues or complaints thus far, including routine 80-85mph trips on weekends. Noisy? Yes, but mostly tires. I reduced the wind noise with a sound deadening studio blanket placed between the Bimini top and the soft topā€¦which works amazingly well. Very...
  16. Aftermarket Bumper Effects on Engine Cooling

Collision warning comes from the camera behind the rear view mirror. The sensor behind the bumper is for your ACC. i have the dv8 MTO bumper; in addition to the front ā€œscreen ventsā€ there are two very large openings on top of the bumper that together provide plenty of ventilation. Iā€™m at 28k...
  17. 2.7 what is the best winch bumper?

Iā€™ve been super happy with dv8ā€™s MTO bumper And their ACC relocation kit. I added some stuff, but parking sensors, ACC, and the front camera all work great. Lots of ventilation for the inter cooler, including two very large access openings on top of the bumper.
  18. Oil change for Bronco Raptor 3.0L engine (DIY video)

I had an extended warranty on a Ford Flex 3.6 L eco boost. before the extended warranty period expired, the engine had a stretched timing chain (A known issue with the first generation of that engine). The warranty company refused to cover the work because I couldnā€™t locate all of my oil...
