Installed mine over the weekend and I love the look with my RTR grille and Quake LED trail sight deletes. This kit transformed the look of my base Big Bend with Halogens into a customized LED look. The modular design of these lights was very easy to assemble and install. Great work Oracle...
Finished replacing all the Halogen tail and headlights with LED from Oracle Lighting, plus replaced the trail sights with QuakeLED LED trail sight delete kit. I have included a few pics of the Tail lights before and after and videos of the headlights and trail sight delete LED kit with...
I bought the amp from you guys and then bought the wiring harness from plugnplaykits. the install was very simple and easy. the metal plate under the steering wheel is a perfect spot for that small amp. it really wakes up the speakers. plus the dsp on that amp does an amazing job of centering...
Hey broncogal21 (Brooke)-
Thanks for sharing. Im a big Crutchfield fan and have been using you guys since my first vehicle in '94 (Chevy Cavalier). So glad you are able to use my write up as some inspiration and would love to hear/see your experiences with your own install. Perhaps you and...
It is up to you what you feel is “enough”.
I wanted to do the straight out replacement in order to hear the difference then upgrade from there as needed. I can definitely understand going one more step up to a powered sub for some extra low end. For us it is not worth adding an amp or larger...
First of all - Congrats on your new addition. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. We just drove from our home in South FL to the a vacation home in the panhandle FL (around 500 miles) with a combination of freeway and back road. The sound is great at high speeds but obviously with a soft top...
I would recommend a powered sub for a much fuller sound. At the time of my install, I was not interested in adding a powered sub. I wanted to try to go apples to apples in order to make a good comparison between stock speakers and aftermarket.
You may want to do a quick test and listen to those...
I think you are asking if the speakers are wired in parallel or series. they speak about it on this post and the OP might have some answers for you if you send him a message directly...
Please be sure to take pics and write down some notes to share with the rest of the group here.
This is the only other addon I was looking at doing as well with that same powered sub. Looking forward to seeing your results. I was reluctant to do the JBL Bluetooth speaker. I am a bit concerned...
Agreed. Before I started this upgrade I scoured the posts here and tried to compile as much information as I could. Thank you so much for posting the manuals for panel removal. They saved me so much time. They were a real lifesaver. In order to help others, I thought it would be helpful to...
The Bass Blockers are used only in the front as the low end in the front is routed to the kick panel speakers. I didn't bother with the rears as those are so far back. I am hoping some form of aftermarket option with larger pods will become available that I can just add some larger speakers...
- right dash speaker positive is green/blue the left dash speaker positive is violet/gray
- for the rears see the diagram
For those that want to try this. I’ve not done it but might this weekend. Use this app to test the polarity of the speakers to be sure you have your wires installed...
It is on the diagram however it can be a little confusing. So to clarify, right dash speaker positive is green/blue and the left dash speaker positive is violet/gray
I did not do the Sub install. I am not opposed to it in the future and like the solution that someone else on the forum did with a JBL Bass Pro (link included).
