I've been making kits in the vinyl equivalent of Wimbledon White for over 20 years. I get it direct from the mill in 48"x150' rolls since distributors don't stock it. It's been hard to get for the last two years with 3-6 month lead times. We just finished a run of screen printed Ranger stripes...
Yes, I make the 66 rocker stripes for the Early Broncos and am doing a set now for a customers 6G. Yes, I can cut in the script and horse. PM me for details.
I've been making reproduction Special Decor (hockey stick) stripes for Early Broncos for over 20 years in Wimbledon white (and other colors), and now also make them for 6Gs as well. Here's some pics of a few of my Ranger, Special Decor and Explorer stripes in the same Wimbledon White vinyl...
Yes, there's a couple different silver metallic that don't have the same problems as the mylar based chrome. There's also wrap chrome that may be more suitable than cut graphics vinyl chrome. We can cut them from either, but rarely use the wrap vinyl for a few other reasons.
I'm sure I can...
Yes, but I'm not sure how the point will look inside the other shape. And chrome vinyl is unlike other vinyl since it's a mylar based laminated product and not cast through color. It does not stretch and conform as well, and doesn't have the life expectancy of the other vinyl we use. It can also...
I make a stripe for the Early Bronco that is based on the belt line chrome that was an option. Here's a pic of when I did a test stripe on one of our Early Broncos several years ago, as well as what inspired it and a few renderings I'm working on for 6G customers.
I also make dozens of...
Here's a sample of some of the many variations of tailgate letters I make which I also supply to several of the Early Bronco vendors and well known restoration shops.
I also do a scaled down version for Early Bronco golf carts we used to make that should fit the space on the 6G better. I'm...
I'm glad to see a thread actually calling these stripes by the correct name. 🙂
That is a set of reproduction stripes I made and one of my photos from when we were getting judged at an AACA show. You can see it behind the red Ranger Bronco we restored for another customer at that same show. The...
I was on my way back to PA from a few weeks of wheeling out in Colorado and had to drop the blue one off in North Carolina.
Here's a pic of the side of the rig from a previous trip. We've been running this all over the country as our dedicated Bronco toy hauler for for 17 years now.
I still think that the minor diameter of the thread at the interface between the sleeve and the outer tie rod is still going to be a weak link compared to a much beefier clamp-on sleeve/brace.
If stock and not wheeling hard, you'll probably be OK. I broke two racks and a tie rod in three different incidents over a three week period in three different states last summer during a trip to CA, UT, CO.
I'm running a 2.5" coilover lift and 37s on a Badlands Sasquatch and wheeling more...
A bushing for the passenger side end won't do anything. It is the relatively thin diecast housing which is splitting.
I just installed the billet housing last weekend and it is significantly beefier than the diecast aluminum housing.
I have 4WP coilovers and BroncBuster braces and they don't interfere. Actually, the reason the BroncBuster braces have the backside milled out on the inner and is because I contacted Tyler about the possible interference issue just before he went into production since he was testing with factory...
These are the top 10 recommendations by the enthusiasts who were at the preview in August 2019.
The scores were weighted by preference of their top 5 choices, not just by the total number who picked a color.
Midnight Blue Metallic
Light Grabber Blue
Poppy Red(66-67) Calypso Coral...
With nearly 100 cool retro colors, you'd think Ford could actually pick one of the original colors offered on the Early Bronco. There was never a color called Robins egg blue used on them.
Here's a list of all the original colors that I've complied over the years of researching and restoring...
I've been going to most of the Bronco Super Celebrations on TN for 15 years or so.
And I've been out to the first two in Colorado the last two years. Hoping to get back out to Colorado again this Fall, and probably at least one of the others, if not both.
Tom and Donna Broberg who own Bronco...
Bronco build date 6-21-21, not sure on engine(s) since I never got pics of the build tags and the dealer said they didn't record the engine serial numbers on their paperwork.
To be clear, we've "only" had two go bad so far. The original dropped a valve on November 5th at 2199 miles. The...
